Why limit this to Cops? 'Hollywood' has made billions of $$$ on hundreds of police-based movies and TV shows. So if we're going to continue to turn our society into a ridiculous virtue-signaling contest, every one of those shows should be removed from public access and the money made from them surrendered. I'm sure the celebs who love to lecture us and who made their fortunes via police-based shows will be happy to give it all up 'for the cause'.

Just about every Hollywood movie is about someone hurting another person.

Hollywood movies are orgies of violence and gun violence: stylized, glorified and worshipful.

That said, my son just graduated from law school and is working and studying for the bar. He and his other law school grad buddy who will tale the Bar with him (they both work for the same law firm), love Cops.

They critique the cops, the perps and walk through the evidence and judge how it will hold up in court.

Probably a drinking game

What were the ratings like? Maybe is was just time to go.
I watched it too but after awhile watching people do stupid things gets old.

If you watch cops for long some drunk shirtless idiot is getting busted. Usually white trash. One thing for sure, the shirtless guys are the dumbest. It is like taking off their shirt drops the IQ 20 points.

The thing was so cheap to produce for the studio the ratings really don't matter. There has always been enough eyeballs watching the show and since it was moved to an obscure studio based network it served a need for original programming. The only people losing here are the the crews that are suddenly out of work.

I think I'd rather tune into "Vigilante Justice".

Live PD is way better. Which has also been suspended in the perpetual bow to political correctness.

Yeah! I enjoyed watching cops as they bust people for behaving badly.
At the start of and episodes sometimes the cop makes these BS comments about getting into law enforcement to help people. Not many episodes about that.
