Nothin wrong with that!

On the subject, who the hell gave the author of this the authority to elevate a 968 to "classic" status?

I wish it were me...that would mean my car is running and driving

:(

Put it on a dolly and haul it around with your Highlander. :D

Meanwhile, our own Black968 has been suspiciously quiet on this topic.

Hey man, this is racism against the 4 banger 9x4 platform..
Y'all is just jealous bout the platforms ability to turn into a High Speed pickup truck.

I'm actually in the market for a 924 or 944 just for that reason.. the huge real estate behind the driver... In the old days i hauled an entire 911 in parts around with my 924 and 944..
Try putting the bonnet of a 911 in a Volvo Estate : Won't fit ! Fits fine in a 9x4 tho.
Try putting a completely built 911 Long Block in the back of a volvo..
good luck ... I did it in my 924.. Engine crane, lift.. push over to the 924..
and drop as you push forward against the open hatch.. Landing
Even got a speeding ticket as I drove home my dual engined 924 that day!

It's envy, and racism by the flat six crowd. I tell ya!

^^^^ Well... it wasn't a white Audi wagon either :D

Weeelllllll...
When I moved from an apartment into my new house I hauled a 5 foot tall potted ficus tree in my Speedster because it was the only vehicle I had that would carry a 5 foot tree standing up. Had to take the passenger's seat out.
Yes, I might be a redneck.
:o

The engineering concept looks eerily familiar. Granted, this contraption is on the rear of the vehicle and appears to be designed for only temporary use, versus a more permanent-type solution being mounted to the underside of the front. Plus, this is a 968 and not an air-cooled 911, but still, the engineering similarities are undeniable.

You could probably get away with that around here. Just put a red rag back there, and if stopped, say you are utilizing your wheelie bar.

Frankly I don't think that was actually possible to get far with that rig. The really narrow track of the dolly and the high COG makes it hard to believe that the tub wasn't about to tip over just being parked at the side of the road at the slight angle it is.

Rounding a corner would have been impossible. Something is up here and I think it involves the cop and his dept's FB account.

Look under the hand truck and you will see 2 things: a swivel caster turned sideways so that it would be skidding and there are no tracks in the gravel; and an unidentified object propping the rig up from underneath almost dead center on the hand truck.

I scanned a dozen sites with this story and there is only one picture (the one I show) and a video from a motorist passing by. This stinks.

And he would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for those meddling cops!!!! :D

...I agree, I bet there is more to this story than meets the eye. Cueing Paul Harvey.

Would have loved to see those little wheels overheat at speed and cause a flaming hot tub being pulled down the highway. And I thought 914 owners were cheap.

Interesting observation about the gravel shoulder. No tracks whatsoever.
