Idiot 968 Driver

Perhaps he is a member of this Forum and he can give us his perspective.

Nevertheless, pulling a hot tub with what looks to be a $10 Harbor Freight dolly is irresponsible, stupid and criminal. I wonder if his “rig” damaged the hatchback frame.

It just goes to show that stupidity is universal.

I hope the ticket cost him more that renting a pickup or at least a trailer and doing it safely.

More discrimination against Porsche and high end car owners.

If it was a Honda or an old truck, it would have never made the news.

You folks clearly have no appreciation for ingenuity. "Necessity is the mother of invention"

And those knots tying the rig to the car? Niiiiiiiice. My dad would be proud of that!

As a former 944 owner, I can say those cars can haul a lot of stuff. I really miss that little truck

The funny thing to me is that the person has a Porsche, bought a hot tub, but can't afford a proper trailer or ratchet straps to get the hot tub home? I wish the article stated how far he got from where he picked up the hot tub to where he got pulled over.

On a side note, I was down near Chillicothe on my way home from vacation on Rte35. I got behind a pickup with their 4 way flashers on. I jumped in the passing lane and as I passed I noticed the truck in front of him had a vehicle on a trailer attached to a truck... that was being towed by another truck. Solid!

I think he got the hot tub for free and was trying to keep his investment costs down to a minimum.

Even the guys around here hauling stuff down to Mexico do better than that.

Hey, it's a classic

"A driver in Woodstock, Canada, was pulled over this week when police spotted him towing a hot tub behind his classic 1990s Porsche 968 sports car with a handmade rig."
