One is a nighttime photo, one is full daylight. There are no visible stars from Earth during the day. Same for the surface of the moon, no stars visible during the day.

Rio Negro (black river) is like iced tea. Water floods an area full of leaves and organic matter and steeps until the water takes on a tea-like color. Rio Solimoes is faster moving and carries silt/sediment, so looks like someone added cream to their coffee/tea. When the 2 rivers meet, it takes a while for them to combine due to Confluence of Rio Negro and Rio Solimões near Manaus, Brazil. Taken by me. Not taken by me but same place.

Thanks, the Amazon (right after the rainy season at the peak of it's high water phase) was an amazing place. Snow Festival, Sapporo, Japan 1983 or 1984. sculptures made of snow and ice.

Actually, I think he was supposed to be a pile of poo, but I get it, the part where he uses his tongue to catch a fly (flying around the pile of poo that he is) was confusing to me too. I'd forgotten how amazing Kelly Lebrock was.

I saw $18,000 spent on oak floor repair and refinishing and a slew of plastic toys and crap spread out all over on a subsequent visit. I never did like working for new money. Worst customers you can have. Old money was a pleasure, mostly. | ||
