My CZ EVO is my home def gun, 100X more stable compared to a handgun, If it was just for home defense I might look into an AR Pistol, or CZ EVO, or MPX... I think they are better suited to the task being asked of them.
If I hear breaking glass I am grabbing my EVO not my P10C, it just puts the odds in my favor that much more. Also the EVO just looks awesome, and as Garand Thumb says.... it's all about looking cool. |

Not really the primary. As I said, it's a combination of things and I think the 9mm gives me good functionality for multiple uses.
For the longest time I was going to buy a 1911 .45 because I could use it for hunting in OH during deer season but then opted for a .450 bolt action rifle. I'm looking for something that will fit multiple functions and be good for each.

That's one I'd have to hold. I haven't held a compact with an extended mag that felt good in my hand. A good friend has a compact .40 with an extended mag and I wasn't overly fond of how it felt.

Have you looked at the SigPro SP2022? Am happy with mine. Similar to the P226 but with a polymer grips and frame. It's a nice shooter.

I like the 9mm round quite a bit. My SV-2 carry pistol during tanker escorts and the first PGW was a 9mm Belgium Browning Highpower.
Still have it. I bought a Glock 22 Gen 4 in SW .40 that I "like" - it was a police resale. Shoots like a dream I just haven't fallen in love. I'm keeping it as a truck gun. I bought the Clock 22 based on shooting my neighbors 9mm Glock, which I really like....they are as ugly as a mud fence, however. I just had a tragic boating accident and lost all the above in the Potomac.

No argument that the stock Glock trigger pull needs a little help but, it is a very easy mod to improve at no cost. If you really want to go top shelf you can replace it with a custom trigger and still end up paying less than a Sig.
Sub compacts are nice for carry but you have to be really good to get a tight pattern on target and control the recoil (especially on the higher calibers). And now for a little group therapy (wish it was mine)

my glock is fun.
i handed it to the range steward at the police station and he shot tiny ass groups with it. so i know it wasn't the firearm. me, i apparently prefer to put the holes further apart for aesthetics. my brother punches tiny groups and fast..not John Wick fast, but fast. its amazing what you can do when you shoot thousands of rounds a week. i prefer shooting my 9mm over my 45 just because it is more comfortable. my sig is pretty soft in the recoil department.

Went back and held a CZ. Definitely ambi slide release as was the glock 19. The Glock didn't hit my palm where I want it to. The Springfield XD that I liked doesn't have ambi slide release so that one is out unless they make it with a left handed slide release. It's a shame, I really liked the look and feel of the Springfield. The Glock, as I said, felt short in my palm but that was with a 15 round mag. I think they offer a 19 round extended mag that might help with that if it's built as an extension of the grip. I'm going to hit another gun shop tomorrow and see if they have any full size Sigs.

I like the Walther PPQ. Mine has a 5" barrel, so not a carry gun, but I am more accurate with it than with my Sig 229 in .40.

Watch the movie Wanted (although some serious NSFW language).

Goofy movie with some serious over the top fantasy elements, but I found it entertaining enough to watch from time to time.

Kimber Micro-9 here...a bit small but good to hold with an extended mag. Great quality and feel (also pretty to look at)...tolerances a bit tight but so far, so good. In hindsight I wish I'd gone for something with a longer barrel.
