Oh WOW the new CORVETTE..

Had the opportunity to look at a 2020 Corvette up close today. Red with light tan full leather..

GM has managed to build a interior with ZERO PLASTIC !!! Never thought in 10,000 years that could be a reality.

The interior of the new corvette is pretty much full leather and honestly the fit and finish are like no GM car I have ever seen..

The dash is AMAZING peculiarly like a 918..

Car is just drop dead GORGEOUS. I know nothing of its performance but can say that the WOW factor of one of these up close is right there with Italian exotics German exotics.

GM has built a truly impressive supercar and I wish Porsche could build something mid engined (not a 718) like this in the $200,000 range that could be competitive in the supercar market.

I really think the supercar market is tired of GT 1 2 3 4 5 R RS on and on..

Porsche needs to build a purpose built mid engined supercar (not hypercar) in the $200,000 range without all the electronic BS and in a true manual..

Again GM this is extremely extremely well done. This new Corvette is the best ever.

And it’s not $200,000!

I kind of thought it looked like the tomboy girl who got dressed up for the prom with her mom's help. But still has a face that only a mother could love.

While not a fan of the C8 styling, the Z06 and ZR1 versions should be remarkable!

In the age of super fast super cars, I still prefer my 914 and bug. They go fast enough to work. To each their own I guess.

My uncle had a C7 z06 as well as every previous version of everything vette. When vettes got boring, he delved into stangs and buicks 87'ishs etc...

All I can say, is that the interiors have come a long wayz baby.
So has the setup. I imagine these new ones handle better than a well setup 944.

Haven ridden in one, it took corners faster than my sc took straights!
I threw out the shorts.

Good on America!!!!!!!!

I want to see it in person. I hated the Cayman when I saw it online. But loved it when I saw it in person. You have to get a in cars space to really understand it.

Saw one in the flesh the other day. I hate to say it, but it looks like a garish kit car from the rear. Tail lights, rear end no bueno.

Sure it goes like stink tho.

I saw them a couple weeks ago at the museum. 4 were waiting for delivery and 2 on display. Not crazy about the looks but there was a blue Grand Sport with white stripes, like the 96 GS that was sharp. I'd really like the power train in my Cayman.

Speaking of obsolete fools, few are worse than Corvette owners. Seems like the majority of C7 and earlier owners hate the C8, just because it's new and different, and demonstrably superior in nearly every way (and actually costs less!). Thousands of Grandpa Simpsons collectively shaking their fists at clouds.

https://www.hagerty.com/media/news/the-c8-corvette-is-not-without-flaws/

There is some seriously impressive technology in the C8. Funny to see the old fools whining about how they don't trust the "electronic brake pedal." It's not electronic, there's a goddamn metal rod connected directly to the master cylinder, as you can see in the video. It also has an "electronic" booster and pressure monitoring. Smart.

Nothing wrong with a good, simple pushrod V8.
No manual transmission, which is sad, but I can understand why they did it.

My uncle was a huge lingenfelter fan.

And he was as a huge Zora Duntov fan.

Suga'zzz-

If your neighbor is a poser, let's call him out.
List his name here, but I need specifics of who to call out.
Not a generalization.

Help me here...

Neighbor down the street got one last month.

Comes across as a poor mans Lambo or McLaren.

Not a bad looking car but it does not look like a Vette.

Not sure it knows what it wants to be.

Oh WOW the new CORVETTE..

Pretty sure the Corvettes suspension technology is FAR more advanced than anything found on the current Ferrari or Lambo..

After all they have been buying that technology from GM for something like 20 years..

I don’t think this can be dismissed as a “Poor mans ANYTHING” or a “Mexican Ferrari” most of these are spec’d out to the $120,000 range and the buyers are well heeled and well informed.

This new corvette truly is a GAME CHANGER.

All GM needs to do is develop a V10 possibly for both the vett, F1 use and this would be a hypercar.

(Edit) F1 is currently F’d up with the green/ politically correct safety crowd) Possible Indy car series?

I honestly stopped watching the day they banned the grid girls..

I believe the chassis/suspension technology is right there with hyper car technology.

GM in the coming years will probably..

Develop a V10

Full carbon fiber chassis, suspension

I’m guessing we will see this on the Z06 or ZR1 models.

What a exciting time for all the corvette fans across the globe!

Yes porsche we want something similar to this.. Oh wait.. You’re too busy pursuing Tesla’s business model..

Current thinking has turbocharged flat-plane V8s for C8 Z06 and ZR1.

As an American, I am happy to see the Vette finally as a world class car. The new model is a really fast car, and if the interior is finally top quality, and for the price, it is a potent combination.

Porsche keeps moving the engine further forward. Ferrari makes mid and front engines cars. The new Ferrari 812 Superfast is a pretty amazing car. To run 10 second 1/4 mile times right from the dealership is amazing for a front engine car. The price is breathtaking as well at $330,000.

The Vette for the money has been the best bang for the buck for a long time.

They will sell more Vettes will sell well. Over 6,000 so far in 2020. Almost 18,000 last year.

I can live with most of the car but the ass end is a deal killer for me. That’s the trouble with most Corvettes, I can live with 90% of the car but there’s always something about it that I can’t stand.

They’ve been fast and great value for money for decades, I just wish they could build a complete car for once.

The performance for the money is off the charts. I’m reserving an opinion on styling until I see one in person. I never really warmed to the C7, I thought the ZR1 and Z06 looked mean but definitely not pretty.

Too many sharp edges and lines for me. I think it would look ok in black so they would blend in.
