UGH! Bought the 9mm and then comes the Holster decision!

Got the 9mm, now I have to decide on a holster. My thought is that I'll carry when I'm at the woods prepping for deer season in the off chance a squirrel wants to attack! I'm thinking OWB will be the primary but I've looked into the Alien Gear core carry pack. My nephew really seems big on Fobus and another guy suggested Crossbreed. Just like the weapon, so many flavors to choose from. I like the multi functionality of the AG Core but I want to make sure what I get will be comfortable while I'm carrying.

So.... what holster are you using when you carry and what is most comfortable when carrying? The two below are the ones I've looked at so far.

I use Foxx Holsters for my 1911 and Glock 19 very comfortable and quality product, I tried the Alien gear for everyday carry but it was not as comfortable as the Foxx, another good option is T.Rex Arms they make quality holster both IMB and OWB I use their Ragnarok on my warbelt for range days.

I have several Alien Gear holsters for different pistols and I really like them. They are the ones I use day in and day out. IWB. Get a good belt too. I went with Hank's for a belt and works great.

I bought an Aliengear Cloak Tuck IWB holster that is basically the same as the Crossbreed SuperTuck. The AlienGear was about half the price of the Crossbreed supertuck. The AlienGear was a good holster. The Crossbreed Supertuck, IMO, is a better, more comfortable holster. I eventually bought one to replace the AlienGear. (I'd had one once before).

The prices seem to be closer now, but the AlienGear is still quite a bit cheaper.

https://aliengearholsters.com/alien-gear-cloak-tuck-iwb-holster-inside-the-waistband.html

I also spent more on the horse hide version of the Crossbreed since it's generally hot here. The horse hide is supposed to resist sweat, and it seems to do a very good job.

Very happy with Tommy Theis holsters. He is out of Arkansas. One man shop, great reviews.
Big Foot gun belts in Idaho are the bomb.Got an inside and outside waist band holster from
Tommy, very happy with both. Compared alot of reviews on you tube and elsewhere before
deciding on Theis.Check out his website. The gunbelt makes all the difference.

First off,, whatever you chose, buy something that is custom shaped just for your particular gun.

I like these:
https://blackhawk.com/serpa-cqc-matte-finish-concealment-holster/

It locks the gun into place and when you pull you will be pushing a latch right where your trigger finger would be located.

Seems to be common among the ones I've looked at so far. I think it was alien gear that even went as far as to ask which laser if any you'd have on the weapon.

I’ve got three.

1) Safari Land for my 1911, because it is the most functional
2) reversible (left/right) nylon for the issued 9mm Baretta
3) Black leather for the 1911

All good holsters, custom designed/fit for the particular weapon.

I use a Fobus for my Ruger LC9 9mm. It’s custom molded and very secure OWB with a distinct click when inserting or removing the firearm. Have several holsters for that gun but the Fobus gets 90% of the carry duty.

Leather is cool but if you have any pistol with a trigger safety...like a Glock or this then stay away from leather...it softens and there have been AD's upon re holstering a condition one pistol. The leather can eventually soften/shrink and engage the safety trigger for a discharge....

A tight belt tends to give me back pain, so I use a belly band holster. It’s actually quite versatile, you can position it around your waist for IWB or pull it up to holster under your shoulder for more of a armpit area conceal.

For OWB I have a BlackHawk for my 226 and a Barsony (Amazon) for my FiveSeven. I actually really like the Barsony, it’s well shaped and also has a mag pouch. Also pretty cheap, because I only use the holster to protect the gun in my console or clip it on my belt when shooting outside.

Yes, it's true. The crossbreed supertuck using the horse hide backing is super stiff and won't have that issue.

The more I look the more I seem to like the AG core carry set. IWB, appendix, paddle OWB and Slide OWB. With most others I'd have that much in IWB and OWB. I swear I've had at least 5 tabs open on my computer at a time looking all these suggestions.

GRRR! did some more looking and the Reckoning by Crossbreed is an IWB/OWB convertible holster too! And only $66.95 but no paddle just belt clip.

We use Fobus OWB paddle holsters for all of our carry guns.
