Bunch of obese grandpas and a few of their wives.
Better odds of STDs at a nursing home, since actual single females and less erectile issues

So you've been, sugartits?

He did kinda fumble around once with a socket inside his steering wheel, but it eventually got tired of him and left.

Yup, but only for a few hours
It was one of my road trip stops in South Dakota on my way to Wyoming.
Doubled the price of my hotel in nearby Deadwood the weekend Sturgis started.

Only 108 new CV infections linked to Sturgis so far. Not too bad at this point considering the thousands of attendees. Will keep y’all posted.

COVID-19 has a one month lead time for death
Sturgis deaths will now begin.

A Minnesota man is the first person known to have died of Covid-19 after attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

OMG in other news somebody died. Oh wait actually a lot of people die every day especially if you’re old with pre-existing conditions.

RWebb 09-02-2020 04:06 PM

260 known infections so far

but... Epidemiologists believe that figure is a significant undercount, due to the resistance of some rallygoers to testing and the limited contact tracing in some states.

Old, sick people should definitely not ride motorcycles to sparsely populated areas - that are occasionally heavily populated.

Clearly, you've never been to the Sturgis rally.

You've probably not been to Meade county the other 11 months of the year. It has a year round population that's less than the biggest town in my county.

Daily US cases have dropped for 5 straight weeks. Daily deaths have dropped for 4 consecutive weeks.

No need to panic.

South Dakota is averaging 1.5 deaths per day.

RWebb 09-02-2020 04:15 PM

Now, just over two weeks after the conclusion of the rally, the Midwest and the Dakotas in particular are seeing a spike in coronavirus cases even as infections decline or plateau in the rest of the country.

No kidding? I only spent the first 30 years of my life there.

Are hospitals overwhelmed? Are we short of hospital resources?

Let small business continue to open and reduce those double digit unemployment rates that we can't afford for any length of time.

Exactly. Arbitrarily reporting cases of people who aren’t sick based on mass testing is fear mongering at its finest. If I’m “infected” and it doesn’t impact me I really don’t care.
