New LR Defender
Not sure if it has already been discussed.. One was in front of me on my morning commute today. Fun to look at, doubt it stacks up to the analog truck of days gone by..
I think Ford may have a bigger hit with the Bronco... I do enjoy LR and RR design. ![]()

Saw one driving though the local dealership, they look cool but I’d way rather have a Bronco.

I've never understood why people like LR/RR.
Why would you want one of these when a Toyota does it better and cheaper? The new Bronco does look pretty killer.

A lowered Defender. Quite the concept.

What?!?!

Here’s my take. When I was 16 in 1980, my Dad had some cool rides. I regularly drove a ‘66 and a ‘68 LR Series IIA 88, ‘64 LR 109 ( that I now own ) a ‘51 Willys, 260Z, 2002tii, ‘68 Stang coupe, ‘69 Fiat 124 Coupe and others.
The Land Rovers got ALL the love from folks. 100% The off-road thing took off and a rugged 4x4....that had alllll the comforts of a sports car became desirable. And with that comes tons of service for those truc....er, cars...on a comfy chassis. Something rugged that families of means can now take camping, that has leather and comfort. Bingo. The LR,RR are now vastly asphalt dwellers. But LL/RR stock is doing quite well. I agree, the Bronco looks solid. But, dang...that FJ Cruiser gets my attention.

A slammed LR/RR is a Hollywood status symbol. I certainly hope it has air ride, and can be elevated to a reasonable level for light offroading with more than 5" of ground clearance.
It looks good though, but what will the price be ? |

Lol so true. Or the three wheel motion look of one corner collapsed air suspension.

Yea, I see that.
Also see some Honda Element and Jeep Renegade in there. Overall not bad, more cute than macho.

The shorter wheelbase 2-door is way cooler.

Good link Kach.
Looks better than in the OP's pic. Odd front end but I own a 2020 4Runner with a front end that looks like the face of a crooning Mick Jagger so WTF do I know ![]() ![]()

It looks like it’s a defendant of the Discovery, not the Defender.
Begs the question; what’s the Discovery look like now - a sedan?

Though the 2-door does look better than the 4-door. I live in LA, so those things will sell like hotcakes. Maybe not to me, but there are about 9 million other people here that would probably love one.
