been waiting for a delivery of printer paper. just checked fedex tracking. it was delivered yesterday in forest hills queens which is 350 miles from where i am. no idea how this happens

Can not stand FedEx, really have no idea how they are still in business. I ordered a rather pricey bit of custom audio equipment and the builder shipped it FedEx last week..

Their online tracking is a complete and utter farce, first it said delivery by Tuesday 8/10, then it said "Good news! Your package will be early on Saturday 8/7!".. and then MO happened, then KS happened.. and not to be out done, Central CA said hold my beer..

I cannot fathom how it takes 17hrs to get from Bakersfield to Stockton (its a 3hr drive), but how the hell does it take 12hrs to get from Stockton to Manteca (literally 20mins apart).. and why the hell does it need to stop in Stockton first, then go to Manteca, why not go directly to Manteca? Idiots.

I have no doubt that I will NEVER receive this package.

Amazon Prime has the best shipping and tracking of them all.
Last week, one day around noon, I was checking my emails when one came over saying your package has been delivered. It included a pic of the package on my front entryway.
I went to go look...and saw the Prime truck pulling out of the driveway.....Excellent.

No doubt! As I was typing out my FedEx rant the Amazon truck pulled up out front and the driver literally jogged a few small packages up to my front door.. I wish they would just put FedEx out of business already.

FedEx may pull this one out. Have a package that's supposed to arrive today. I was really expecting it to miss and arrive tomorrow, but it shows as "out for delivery." :eek:

Mark your calendars! I was supposed to get a delivery from FedEx today, and was sure that they'd end up delivering tomorrow. But it's a miracle, my package was delivered fairly early this morning.

So between Vash and myself, that's 2 on time deliveries in one day!

Considering how many packages go through the sort every day/night its a miracle that only a super small amount don't make it on time.. and 90% of those are FDX Ground issues.. Express issues are much rarer..

what a day. I got THREE deliveries.

one from USPS, one from UPS, and one from FEDEX. all within 15 minutes of each other. crazy. I am on a roll. my tube of marine grade adhesive seems to have stalled however. ha! and that is an in-store pickup!!

I've never really had any issues with FedEx ... before yesterday.

I had a local tire shop order in a pair of 295/30/18s. The shop called me on Monday to say they'd arrived, so I set up an appointment to have them installed yesterday afternoon. I called around noon, confirmed the appointment and was about to head over when my phone rang.

Somehow, their FedEx driver, when dropping tires off yesterday, threw my pair on his truck and left. The shop immediately called FedEx but was told there was nothing could be done until the driver had finished his route and returned to their distribution center.

As of about five minutes ago, FedEx had yet to locate the tires.

About five weeks ago, my wife purchased a big patio umbrella from a well known online retailer. The umbrella was shipped within a few days after placing the order. The company emailed her with Fedex tracking information. The item shipped from Fairfield, Ca, which is only 60+ miles south of us. You would think the package would have been delivered to us the following day or two days at the most. Nope. For some inexplicable reason, it traveled to the upper mid western part of the United States before turning around to head back west for its final delivery here in Rocklin.

I thought this was a fluke. Nope. A week and half ago I purchased a few auto parts from a retailer located in Phoenix, Arizona. In the past, I have always counted on a package arriving from them three days after shipment. On Wednesday of last week I received the company's email with a Fedex tracking number. The package was due to arrive Saturday. Fair enough. I checked the delivery status the following day. It indicated that the package was in transit to NM followed by OK, TN, NC, WV, and now it is heading back west as the current status shows the package in OH. The projected delivery day is this Saturday, but I don't think it's going to happen. I can't imagine why these seemingly blunders happen.

FDX Express uses the hub and spoke system so if you ship something from (example) San Diego to LA area, it gets picked up in SD and then sent to one of the hub sorting locations ( probably MEM or IND ) and then gets sent back to the LA area. FDX Ground is completely different but a lot of times, Express will pick up their package at an out station and then it gets trucked back… which is why you see all of the various states it goes though.

Have had an engine stand backordered since May. Item finally shipped two weeks ago tomorrow from Memphis to Atlanta and it has been On truck for delivery status since Saturday (5 days!) with no updated delivery date. Called this morning to change delivery to pick up at FedEx location. Supposed to ready for pick up tomorrow. So Frustrated. The original projected delivery date was 8 days ago.

Same here. I often request online sellers use UPS in the "notes" section. It works sometimes. FedEx is the worst. In my area the drivers mark packages as delivered when they are due then drop them off 2-3 days later. They also lost a set of bumpers I had rechromed a few years ago...how do you lose a huge 80lb box with 2 bumpers in it?

With something that heavy don't be surprised if the box shows up empty with a hole in it.

^^^ Honestly...I've never had a package of mine delivered to the wrong house.
Envelopes delivered by USPS...yes, and it's always the next house on his route. (I think he realizes he missed my place and sticks it in the next one, instead of turning back)...I can't blame him.

My luck hasn’t been too bad. In the past nine months, I’ve ordered 25-50 packages from FCP and 99% of them have either been delivered on time or early via FedEx.

What’s frustrating with Amazon and whoever they use, is I’ll get a notification that nobody is home and they can’t deliver it. I’m either sitting in the house or somebody is.🤬

I've never had a problem with Amazon delivering. Most of the time...no one is home here. And they still deliver to either my front porch or in my garage.

I've never had an issue with FedEx. They always deliver on time and intact. UPS will usually deliver on time but the condition of the package may or may not look like it was drop shipped from 30K feet from above my house.

Now USPS...never on time. Ever. Ordered a part for my DD last week. Was sent from Colorado. Supposed to be delivered to me in Michigan on Monday. It is currently sitting in Puerto Rico. Why?

Last month I received my Otter Box via FedEx 2 and half years after it was shipped!

I'm in Canada employed by a US company. My cell phone is a corporate device. I needed a new phone in Jan of 2019. The company protects their assets, in this case with an Otter Box. The vendor sent one out; I never received it, so they sent out another which I got. Last month the "first" Otter Box showed up; yep shipped Feb 2019 delivered Aug 2021.:rolleyes:

No signature required. The last time it happened, I had the package shipped to work, which is a model home that had three agents just inside the full glass front door. They said he walked up to the door, turned around and left. I got a text that the package could not be delivered, because nobody was home. I went to the model and the agents said he returned with the package. A few minutes later, I got a text saying the package has been delivered.

Well, its been another 8 days since I posted this and still no package. After calling 8 days ago to request to pick up at FedEx location when I was told is would be ready for pickup after 1 business day - crickets. Called again 2 days ago. They put a trace on the pkg and I've heard nothing. Gonna have to call again. Unbelievable!

Two overnight letters coming from BMW. Financial in Ohio. One was shipped Tuesday and the other Wednesday, both by FedEx, both lost. [emoji867]

Just got off phone with FedEx customer service who confirms that "your item appears to have been lost". Contact Seller.

So much for my good luck. Ordered something on the seventh with two day delivery. Today’s the 11th and no joy.

Notified Amazon that package was lost and received notification that a refund has been submitted for processing two days ago. Today I received a text from FedEx that my pkg has arrived at a local FedEx center. So it looks like I may be getting my engine stand for free! What a cluster!

Amazon doesn't ship through FedEx anymore.. FDX ended that contract/relationship last year..

Today marks day 30 since the original expected delivery date and still no package. Now sitting in "Operational Delay Status" with expected delivery "Next Business Day" Really?

Blackhole discovered in the United States

Scientists today announced that they found evidence of the first ever black hole located in the United States. "We are excited to announce that we have discovered evidence of a black hole located in the United States, in the town of Troutdale, Oregon." - unnamed scientist. Fortunately scientists also discoved that the impact of this black hole is relatively minor. "We see that the only objects unable to escape this phenomina are packages shipped via FedEx" - Unnamed spokesperson. As of this time it is unknown if this black hole is a permament object or if the effects will dispate over time. The only solution to avoid impact is to ship pakces via other companies.

Delivery guys can either park at the end of my short sidewalk and take a package to the front door (covered porch so protected from rain)...or they can drive into my back driveway (rear entry garage) and get a few steps closer to my back door stairs (uncovered). Despite the sign on my back door saying "Please leave packages at the front door" the idiots from Fed Ex always leave them at the back (except when they leave them at other people's houses) They don't care if it is about to rain or pouring rain. Lots of time I am gone away for a few weeks and they sit out there in the rain...day after day. Thanks FedEx.

On 9/30 I received another text update " Shipment Exception - Cannot locate recipient" then "Returning package to shipper - Unable to deliver shipment".

A 40 day circus. Utter Incompetence!

Reordered through Amazon again and this time the item is coming via UPS!!!

My main FedEx delivery person puts packages in a large plastic bag if it might rain. I got a good one.

I was expecting two items yesterday, one via UPS and one via FedEx. Neither showed up. But I'm much luckier (fingers crossed) as both items show as "on vehicle for delivery."

One is coming from Amazon. The Amazon warehouse that it shipped from is 50 miles east of me. Usually our UPS stuff goes through the UPS hub in Austin which is ~70 miles north. Yesterday, the status said that it was in San Antonio which is about 120 miles west. Today it says that it dispatched out of Austin.
