Unbelievable OT thriller congrats to the winners .

Scott Douglas 01-31-2022 02:51 PM

There were some good games yesterday.

astrochex 01-31-2022 03:18 PM

Yay Rams.

Another dragon slain. One more to go.

cabmandone 01-31-2022 03:20 PM

Joe Burrow is just impressive. The guy has veteran confidence and skills to back up that confidence. I read earlier where he said the Bengals beat the second best team in the AFC. Nice. It was pointed out the Bengals beat KC twice in January and swept the Steelers, Ravens and Raiders as well.

Ohhh, for a time machine. Walk into a vegas sports betting palace before the season started, place bets on both the rams and the bengals to win the superbowl. I'm thinking the odds offered must have been sky high for either team.

Kind of fun to know we'll have a superbowl with all the "usual suspects" teams sitting home.

In September, the Vegas odds for the Rams to win were +2000, meaning a $100 bet would win you a $2000 profit. The Rams were 8th on the list, right behind the Niners, at +1500. The Bengals were +6600, with two other teams tied with them, and only two more teams behind them (the Lions and Jets). The Chiefs were first at +600.

A $100 dollar bet on the Bengals is looking pretty good about now. A Rams bet isn't too shabby, either. But a bet on any of the other 30 teams is a bust.

Maybe you'll meet Marty McFly soon!

A local TV station ran a story yesterday that someone cleared over $600,000.00 by betting on the Bengals . They didn't go into any details but that's not a bad day's work for betting 😋

We've had three straight weekends of ice/snow and perfect TV football weather....

The best two weekends of NFL playoff games ever :)

Brady ... he might not be done.... not just yet.

The youngins playing QB these days do not suck .... not one bit ;)

Awesome and fun to watch!

The interesting thing is, all the really young talent at QB seems to be in the AFC. Burrow, Mahomes, Herbert, Allen, Mac Jones, you could toss in Lamar Jackson. Haven't seen enough of Lawrence yet to know how things will turn out. In the NFC I can't think of any young standout QB's. I suppose Kyler Murray and Prescott in Dallas but other than that? I think Justin Fields has the athletic ability to be really good but the team he's on definitely doesn't help. It'll be interesting to see how things develop in SF and GB.

I also think it's bonkers that for the second year in a row that the SB is being played in one of the team's home stadium.

So TB won at home last year, let's go ahead and have LA win this year, then the Cardinals have a shot next year.

A guy can dream, right? :D

cabmandone 02-01-2022 06:27 AM

Nope! With our QB of the future, Mason Rudolph, the Steelers are a lock for the Super Bowl. :(

Read somewhere that if, prior to the start of the season, you bet $100 on the Bengals to WIN the Super Bowl, that was the payout.

Either I read the article incorrectly or the news station didn’t report it correctly.

It's official Tom Brady announced this morning he is retiring . What an amazing career . I wish him the best .

ckissick 02-01-2022 09:02 AM

This is the year of the tiger, so my money is on the Bengals.

I think that guy placed a bet at the beginning of the season and not only got this past weekends matchups correct but also the final score.

Pure luck bet.

Sad to see him go but he's going out on top.

I hate to see these guys hang in longer than they should and tarnish their legacy.

Yep ... but I would have probably waited until Friday when he was due a 15M bonus had he done so....

Meh ... it's only $$$ :D

What a career .... just a joy to watch him play....

Mebbe the SB should always be played in Charlotte ... or Jax .... eliminate that home field advantage forever ;)

After the 49'ers loss, I am looking for a "story": Both teams have them and I'll be absolutely interested in the game.

I read something today about that story being "fake news". He was already paid that but there could be some repayment required due to retirement.

Law of ave's caught up with the niner's.
How many teams have beaten a rival team 7 straight times?
Not many I'd bet and if they were beaten they sure weren't contenders for the SB too.
