Most assuredly a scam. If Apple needs to contact you they have your phone number for any iPhone. They will likely text your iPhone. If you have no iPhone, it was a total scam.

Like the car warranty about to run out on your car, scam phone calls. They always are so worried about my car and the warranty and make sure I extend the warranty. They bastages always hang up when I tell them my newest car is a 86 El Camino with 371,000 miles.

Apple doesn't call people. That was fake.

Apple didn't call you, 99.99% chance that someone else called you, calling themselves Apple.

Don't blame Apple for that. They have plenty for people to be mad about without blaming them for scam phone calls.

Itunes is the worst piece of software ever distributed.

The "grandpa?" scammers always give me a chuckle...I have no grandkids. I usyualloy pretend that I think they're a grandkid, listen to the tale of woe, then say no to the $$$ request.

It's really not that bad. I tried it many, many years ago, when one of our kids got their first iPod. We were running Windows XP. Yeah, it was REALLY bad back then.

Since then, it got much, much, much better. Then it started going backwards. It's not as good as it was probably 5-10 years ago, but it's not "the worst piece of software ever." Or you really need to experience more crappy software so you can update your standards.

They try HARD to make it suck for a Windows user. I only use it to backup my phone to my computer, and to load all 16 gig of music I have from the CDs I own.

Why in the heck will it not let me see any of the photos I have on my phone. For the company known as making a product that is intuitive and easy to use, they really work hard to make it crappy software.

And I have used software like Harvard Graphics back in the days of DOS 5. That really sucked to figure out and make it work. It took a special Autoexec.bat and special system files loaded to make it function.

If it's not the worst, it's certainly in the semi-finals and fighting hard to be the Grand Wiener!

And it doesn't just stop with the app, but the crap produced with the app certainly doesn't do it's street cred any favors.

If you buy a new MacBook with Catalina OS, how hard is it to 'regress' the OS back to a version that will actually run all the software you bought?

I have been bombarded with that offer for the past two weeks. My newest car isn't as old as your El Camino, but it's still pushing 10 years and >100K miles.

You donít have to buy a new computer to have that problem. A software update will render the 32 bit software you previously bought inoperable in the 64 bit system.

I lost Microsoft Office the minute the upgrade was complete.

Hay, it is 1000 times better than Harvard Graphics. I made a lot of slides for clients before video projectors took over with slide presentations. PowerPoint can make some pretty amazing graphs. It works real well.

No doubt it has bored silly millions of people stuck in a meeting or presentation watching a poorly done PowerPoint presentation.

I'm sure there will be a 32-bit compatible update.

MS seems to play games..
I had a "Notify me of updates but don't d/l" setting. It downloaded a huge file anyways. Then the mouse became single-click-to-open which made the computer unusable. Files and programs would randomly open and close. Dragging a group of files opened them instead. Random behavior. Any further work was impossible. Like a virus had sabotaged my computer.

Danger Will Robinson..." No windows for you!!!":

Is there a never option?

Would you like to choose now, later now, or just now?

You actually thought this was actually an option? Hahahahah. All your updates belong to us.

After all that...
