NASCAR is trying anything to get viewers back. It may work.

Hey, better than supporting the NFL or the NBA by watching them. Kudos to Chase Elliot. The kid can drive the twisties! Daddy Bill taught him well.

Much like the NBA, they will need a lot more than that.

IMSA was there yesterday, GTs only. GTLM Porsches had a race to forget.

The NBA playoffs have been great but I’m not triggered by their protests.

Road courses will make NASCAR more interesting and hopefully more enjoyable to watch. 3 hours of left turns is as boring as watching paint dry. I enjoyed yesterdays race more than any in this 2020 season. As for dirt ? I think that is dumb since there is already a dirt series.

No I’m not but does that matter? I love my country but it’s not perfect. I could be wrong but when one serves their country they’re serving to defend the rights and freedoms of every citizen of this country. The symbol that is the flag is just that, a symbol. Many service men and women I know feel this way. I know where you stand Fint, that’s obvious and it’s ok. |

NASCAR has a date with COTA, 2021. I may go, only 45 miles away.

Joke from the past-
NASCAR equivalent - missed the race? Take a handful of skittles and throw them in a flushing toilet. Watch them go around. |

I think diversifying the racing is a great idea. As someone who frequents sprint car racing at dirt tracks, I would actually pay to see NASCAR drivers in sprint cars. I won’t go to traditional NASCAR races, they bore me to tears.

I am encouraged by them actually running in the rain. That in itself is a big step forward in their evolution.

What's up with their wiper systems, they seem to not work very well.

Most of the NASCAR boys did better than the works Porsche team later in the day, what a disaster that was

The cookie cutter 1.5 mile ovals are what nearly killed NASCAR, I applaud going to Bristol on the dirt, and Road America, and the ROVAL. These tracks put some of the skill back into the sport.

The Roval has turned out to be an epic race track. This past weekend was awesome.
The xfinity race in the rain was Great. Who thought the water spray on the high banks made the cars look faster? A welcomed addition, with the equally welcomed dropping of a 1.5 mile track. The 1.5 milers are so boring because they are a perfect balance of horsepower and aero. Clean air has too much influence on grip. And being a little bit down on power really shows in every corner exit. Roundy-round they go. I tried the Roval in a Cup car in iRacing. It is very challenging in the dry. |

In my opinion, racing while only turning one direction does not demonstrate driving skill beyond knowing how to control a car at high speed. It is kinda like bowling. Pins dont move, ball is the same, so as long as you can do the same motion and hit specific lane targets, you can be successful
However turning in both directions and in non-ideal conditions leads to finding out who can actually drive. Cannot say it will help NASCAR but it cannot hurt either.
