Cold fingers lead to accidental gun discharge?
Firearms and accidental deaths: https://science.sciencemag.org/content/358/6368/1324 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1602688404.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1602688404.gif Okay, that is not what they say, but my eyes are starting to see it that way.:) |
I was shocked about D.C. being to high on the list until I thought about it.
All those politicians who vote to take your rights to bear arms and are trying to nullify 2A have government provided (or private) ARMED security to protect THEM because it isn't safe in public otherwise. |
If I had guns (and I don't, ya hear that gubmint?) that ridiculous article would not know about them.

I used to be a press photographer. I went to many events, and was at an interview with a person and would meet a reporter at a site to take the photos for them if it was a one on one interview or story. Other times it was some politician or protest or march or whatever. I would be there for the entire event, and leave with first person knowledge. The next day the story is in the paper, and I recognized the photo I took, but the story is way different than what I remembered. |
Bad roads lead to putting an erector set and plastic wheels on your 911?

Where is Chicago on this map? |

I don’t have time to dig deep into the methodology. But something way low with that number. |

The vast majority of "accidental" shooting are no accident at all. Someone picked up a gun, pointed it and pulled the trigger. It is like saying someone accidentally threw a glass of water on the ceiling. It was a very deliberate action. Usually the excuse is they did not know it was loaded, but anyone with more brains than a chimp know to treat all guns as loaded at all times. If a parents leaves a gun out and accessible to a kid, that adult needs to serve jail time. |
Nothing accidental about what’s happening in Chicago.

Flat Six has it correct. This is about the NFA Federally registered Machine Guns, SBRs, destructive devices, etc.
|
Stupidest clickbait article on guns I have seen so far.

In New Zealand rifles and shotguns aren't on any sort of register, so we don't have any idea of how many guns are out there.
Haha, when I was about 11 or 12 I went into a gun shop to buy a new .22. the gun shop guy gave me a real telling off. So I came back with a "grown up" and Mom handed over the cash. Now you just show them your gun licence, pay, and walk away with the gun. Hand guns are on a register. |
I went to the Phoenix PD gun "buy back" about 12 years ago. A local tv reporter was there and we chatted her up. She said she was terrified of guns and had never touched one. Yeah, that who you put on a story like that.

GA beat by PA. I find that hard to believe.
|
I know several people that have collections that number in the hundreds of guns each! It is not unusual for a local shooting enthusiast to have 40 or 50 handguns and/or long guns! Yep, their numbers are just a bad guess!

When asked... I told "them" I had more than ten, but way less than Rick Lee.... haven't heard back yet :D.
