The original article does not include handguns.

NCIS checks have been through the roof since March..

Probably around 300m guns in the USA..

And I had just been dipping my toes in the water and buying ammo again after the 2012 shortage. I could stand to get a few boxes of .22LR.

Or any guns owned by anybody that I know.

The idea that only about 1 in 100 people have a firearm is way to low. In Kentucky you dont need to "register" a firearm. Ive got several and no authority knows about it. Its just the way it is. So the numbers a flawed from the start.

I would say around 1/3 to 1/2 of every household has at least one weapon inside. Just a guess.

javadog 10-15-2020 06:52 AM

I'd bet that those households that have guns have enough guns to arm every other household that doesn't, many times over.

Nobody really needs more than a couple dozen long guns

Just scored these today.

javadog 10-15-2020 04:19 PM

Nice. One of those is one of the coolest looking guns ever made.

Be sure and report them to the authorities immediately.

These came from a WW2 pilot. Obviously the Colt was his. The Luger he got while over there. It’s a 1940. I’ve known about these guns for 40 years. Also scored some Belgian Browning shotguns.

pics of the Belgian Browning shotguns?

Damn those are pretty.

Sadly my brothers and I are moving our parents into assisted living. Both 88 with dementia. I was always the gun slinger in the family and still dabble in all aspects of shooting. Not hunting. Just a collector. I knew of the Colt and the Luger. The 12 gauge was a rumor, the 20 gauge another surprise. The Winfield Winchester 30-6 never heard of till he handed it to me.

Couple more bonus. Colt detective special never fired.
