^^^ Thanks. I looked at Crutchfield at the Nav head units. Too much for me to put into a car with almost a quarter million miles....which I should hit this spring.
I ended up with a plain Alpine unit. Then I added an amp and sub. I like the sound a lot. When the car goes....the amp and sub will be taken out. Yes..those roof racks are not cheap!

I bought a nice Alpine ILX-W650 with Android Auto and Apple Carplay for $299 that I put in my kids cars.
Head unit (doesn't play CD), steering wheel control interface and dash kit cost me about $400 total NOTE: That was for the Rav4 that had a JBL amplified system installed. The interface (Pac) kept the amp and steering wheel controls. If I just wanted steering wheel controls, I could have saved about $50.

Here in NZ people can be a bit lacking in manners when parallel parking, so a tow bar makes it their problem not your problem. Strange, I know.
