Good point on Canada. Though probably less important for buyers in Europe, which is where my SC went.

Money is a personal thing, along with religion and voting. It's actually considered rude to probe someone on these things. Like asking someone how much they get paid. Not answering such a question is not weird at all.

What do you want for it? Have you looked into consignment at Lamborghini or Kulu?

It's not a secret, but it's also none of your business. There IS a difference.

Totally false statement.
I've seen numerous cars relisted. They usually have the statement in the listing that it wasn't the cars fault, but that the buyer failed to follow through with the transaction and they have been permanently banned as a buyer in future auctions. They also loose their buyers fee. They even go so far as to provide a link to the previous listing so you can check out what has changed on the car and what was said before about it.

Edit: Here's an example of a current relist, that just happens to be a Porsche too:

I specifically asked that question and was told that BaT viewers don’t like to see the same cars twice, and that they would not re-list. It may be vehicle specific, I suspect higher value vehicles where they can collect the same big buyer fee twice would be more appealing for them.

If you email them details they will let you know if they will sell the car with or without a reserve.

Being in Canada right now, I would only list the car if they allow a reserve.

There a re a lot of other ways to sell your car at your price, I'm not sure BAT is the answer in Canada during a Covid lock-down.

While I was a big BAT fan a few years ago, it has slowly deteriorated form an interesting boutique to big box retailer. I rarely visit now.

They generally do not re-list cars and will not re-list cars like yours that simply did not get enough interest/money on their site. They are correct in that it would get even less interest the second time around. They will re-list if it’s a car that got a lot of bids and interest and then did not sell due to a buyer flaking. That’s not the car’s fault, in their view.

It’s just a big used car lot now, anyway, since it was sold.

Call Wayne Carrini!

Just kidding, I would think a car like yours would do well here on Pelican. I never even posted my 964T for sale, I'd mentioned thinking of selling it on here and got a PM from a member wanting it.

I agree with Speeder, BAT isn't what it was and I would avoid Pcar Market based on some things I have read.

Not relisting because it didn't meet reserve vs not relisting because a buyer flakes are two different things.

I recently sold a car on BAT and had, overall, a good experience
the "experts" will wear you down a bit but take them with a grain of salt
I studied previous successful auctions and that served me well
I used there photo services for 350 and I'd recommend that as well
Your car will do well

My question was specific to a buyer flaking out. Sorry but the reality is that they will tell you to piss off if the buyer flakes unless they feel it is in their best interest, not yours. This is after waiting 1-2 months for them to even list it. My biggest problem is that if you are even semi competent with a camera and the English language you can list and sell your car before it even appears on BaT.

BaT sold within the last 6 months or so to the Hearst Corp. I sent them pics of a couple of Targa’s (which you can find in my started threads history). They absolutely HAMMERED me on my reserve for our white hotrod Targa. It was a stunning car that should have brought really good money but I lowered my intended reserve by almost 20k to get them to take it and then they came back and said if I didn’t lower it an add’l 10k they didn’t want it. I told them to piss off. I wasn’t willing to set the reserve at .30 cents on the dollar. I expected to take a loss but wasn’t willing to bend over that far. Refused to give them the other Targa along with an incredible Jaguar. They don’t give a s.it about anything but themselves. Not a business model I subscribe to. I’ll NEVER use them, nor buy from them, EVER.
I know several here and over on the S have had great results with them. I DID end up selling the hotrod on Pcar Market and the Green SC on PCA Classifieds. The jag is at Gateway now. I’d also consider reaching out to Paul Kramer at AutoKennel or has been mentioned Techweenie.

They pushed for a $25k reserve for my immaculate SC cab because “nobody likes cabs”. I sold it for almost $45k in three weeks without much issue. All of my interaction was like they were somehow doing me a favor. No thanks....

The bottom line is that for cars that are not special, like 911 cabriolets and targas, (sorry), they are going to want the reserve set where they know the cars will sell. Their site is so cluttered-up w lukewarm cars right now that it's ridiculous. I still think that all Porsches get top dollar on that site, including the cars you guys did not want to list there. You can't touch the exposure you would get there and the format is pretty amazing for drumming up "heat."

The OP's car is not a run-of-the-mill Porsche and it would do extremely well on BaT, JMHO.

What reserve did they want?
What did the car eventually sell for ?

I think Kulu is still upset that I bought this car out from under him... there is a story there...

Despite not being a fan of selling cars on BaT I would agree, I think this 930 would do well.

I agree also. For the fee they charge I don't think you can buy better exposure. With the correct pictures even mediocre cars seem to do well there.
