that is not new:

or maybe you should ask Eric - he is a genius in things he knows nothing about, not to mention an apparently low ability to search for scientists on ResearchGate

and note the pic Island posted - unlike "poditis" covid is spreading in part b/c you cannot look at someone and see if they are infected - nor does taking a forehead temp. solve things as many will be infected and infectious w/o a fever (but it helps)
Why not just post some of the highlights from some of your studies that are on ResearchGate? No need to give the title or your name listed on the studies. Just some highlights.

The ones I have read are very well done. You should be proud of your work and share your expertise that is shown in the studies with others.

Thx, but studies I've done that are relevant here are too esoteric. They go where they need to go, and that ain't here.

re the transmission rates being high with reported 100% compliance. I know here in Calgary they have found the vast majority of traceable transmission, something like 84%, occurs in the home. That is why currently we are able to eat in restaurants, but are strongly encouraged to not allow any visitation by outsiders in the home.
No one masks up once they go in their home, even if they are reporting 100% compliance.

I am a sooper jeanyus. The only sooper jeanyus posting here in fact. I posted my IQ on the internets for proof. You can find it unless you are too dumb to search. LOL...

^^^ That's how you come across Webb.

You are not a scientist. Everyone knows that. You should quit while you're behind.

So, any mockery that comes your way is well deserved, as you continually post garbage info and are rarely right about anything....ever, despite inserting yourself as a subject matter expert on countless topics.

And yeah, I did finally find your RG profile (or should I say your father's?). It wasn't due to "low ability" to search, but because you didn't list your first and last name unlike most every other "scientist" there. You also don't list your credentials, or any institutional, departmental, or educational affiliations either, unlike most every other "scientist" there. As you obviously understand, anyone can create a RG profile. Maybe if I create one I can be a "Dr.", or a "Senior Ecologist", and maybe an "independent researcher" too! I can even upload some family members work to take credit for, to make me look legit!

Who needs all that skool'n and hard work, when you can be an insta-scientist with a few mouse clicks!

Prove him wrong. Post some parts of one of your "too esoteric" studies from ResearchGate. That should shut him up.

It has everything to do with seasonal climatic changes like people crowding closer to each other because it's frikkin' cold outside. It has everything to do with being in closer proximity to carriers, and little to do with the humidity of the air around them.

OMG, matters not what you identify as.

You, and all your log-ons here paints the picture of how we identify you. "Scientist' is NOT what you project.

It's a cause/effect combo platter for sure, but the latter (dropping humidity) is a big part of that, and not just "little to do with" it. Most respiratory viruses live longer and travel farther in dry air. That comes naturally from climatic changes in the winter (reduced RH/AH), and unnaturally from the increased use of indoor heat, which also reduces humidity. Both of which result in a drier respiratory system, making you more susceptible to infection. Waning vitamin D levels in the winter, increased "huddling" and holiday travel certainly doesn't help either.

So again, the cyclical increase in respiratory infections in winter-time is nothing new, and is consistent. Wearing surgical/cloth masks is never going to change that, even at high compliance rates (cuz human behavior). And, as was gleaned during the last "mask dance" 100+ years ago, the false sense of security that they instill can make things worse (causing lax adherence to distancing, or ignoring it altogether).
