The Queen's Gambit

Anybody else watching this show?

Was talking to a buddy who suggested it. I'm a pretty good chess player and he thought I'd dig it. Seriously impressed with the writing and the lead actress.

Really liked her in Split and Glass.

Shes fantastic in this show..

My wife and I enjoyed it. I thought it was well done, and I really have no knowledge of or interest in chess. I'm also kind of glad it was setup as a mini-series rather than as on ongoing series (I think that's correct). I kind of like my shows to have a distinct beginning and end.

It's really good. We finished it about a month ago.

My son recommended this series so I've downloaded it but I haven't had a chance to watch any of it yet.

He thinks it's the best thing since Game of Thrones.

Lack of insinuated all nude incest scenes made it less cringe-worthy for sure.
They made it the way all shows should be now.... with a beginning, a middle, and an end and all in one season.
GOT, Was a train wreck with a hot garbage ending.

Watched the entire thing. I thought it was really well done. Particularly as a period piece. The sets were immaculate. And, for the most part they didn't set you up for a big failure anywhere along the way, unlike many newer movies seem to.

As far as the lead actress, you can't take your eyes off her. Striking IMO.

Of course, having said that I also just watched "Bombshell" this weekend as it's now on Amazon Prime, and you aren't going to find more beautiful women anywhere.

Tell us how you really feel....

I'd walk through broken glass to spend a evening with Natalie Dormer...

Notice I didn't claim I didn't watch every installment, thus the train wreck analogy.

Probably not barefoot though right?

I thought the period work on queen's was amazing as well.

My feelings exactly.

And in this case I think they managed to tell the story in 7 shows.

Loved it. The actress? She was just fantastic.

Which is funny as I think she was a total dud in Peaky Blinders.
