Epiphones and Squires are great because they’re cheap as dirt and fun to hack around on. If it breaks it’s easy to replace. I play guitar for fun, not to be a snob. I can’t really tell much difference between an Epi LP and a Gibson LP or a Fender Strat vs. a Squier. They all play fine and sound fine through an amp for what I want to do.

Kinda cool if EVH signed it but I wouldn’t think worth a ton or anything.

There appears to be a market for EVH equipment these days.

I can't get excited about an autograph.
Carroll Shelby, EVH, Reggie Jackson, etc... The product is what I want.
I know that autographs increase the value but I am not one to pay any attention to it.
I love my American Standard Tele and it plays the same way if Eric Clapton, Joe Bonamassa, Joe Walch, Joe Satriani, Lightning Joe and every famous guitarist put a signature on the instrument. Just me but I have never thought an autograph meant
anything. Value is objective, not subjective to me.

They are somewhat different but people's signatures can change over time.

The PSA authentication sticker/number checks out on their website, so I'm at least somewhat certain that it's EV's autograph. Determining the value, on the other hand, seems to be a bit more tricky, as we've been shown an example of an EV-signed pick protector actually selling for five grand, while other "standard" autographs seem to be in hundred-to-few-hundred dollar range.

No. Well, back in the day, probably. But once he got serious about endorsement deals around 1991, he stopped signing any brand other than his current endorsement deal. He never ever would have signed a Fender Squire unless it was from some terminally ill child in the room next to his own at Cedars Sinai. Those no name, cheapo guitars with all the band members' autographs you see at that memorabilia shop in the Cesar Forum Shops in Vegas are total fakes. I have his autograph on a B&W photo from an old Kramer ad, but the president of Kramer personally gave it to me in 1986 when Ed with still with Kramer. So I think it's authentic.

That Marshall JCM800 is a total joke. Ed never used it, probably never even turned it on. I heard his '68 Plexi, the one he bought when he was 16 and was used on every album, sold privately for $250k when Ed knew he was terminal. But that was a truly special amp, like holy grail even if Ed hadn't owned it. Having it on every VH album was icing on the cake.

Now here's one that would be kind of cool to have. I took this at NAMM a few years ago. This was a prototype Fender had sent to Ed, a remake of his Stars guitar, I think only used on the third tour. When they'd send him guitars, he rejected a lot of them. But when he gave it the green light, this is how it looked - he signed the back of the headstock. It was a thrill for me to even hold this guitar and get to plink on it for a few minutes.

A buddy of mine in the know told me about 18 mos ago that Ed had gone down on his motorcycle and broke both hands. While getting treated for that, they discovered that his cancer had come back and much more aggressively. That ended the preparations for the reunion tour plans with Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar. At that point, Ed knew the end was near and started planning accordingly, though kept it pretty quiet.
