It really happened, I can't believe it!

On I-35, there was not one bit of road construction between Oklahoma City and Norman. I am shocked.

I have lived in Oklahoma City metro area for 42 years. In all that time I have made several hundred trips to Norman, OK. There was always, some road construction on I-35, always!

I figured out that the construction crew was a couple of brothers that worked for a few months, and went to do other projects, and only worked on I-35 when the inspectors were there. After 42 years, they are finally done. Wow.

I actually drove up to the Edmond, area where I live and that was 34 miles total, and not one speck of construction along I-35 There is some construction in North Edmond now, so I could have only gone a few miles further before construction delays were back, but I just got off at my exit.

Next thing ya know I will hear the construction on I-35 from Denton, TX to Dallas is done. It has been many years since I drove to Dallas so I have no first hand knowledge.

If it's anything like here they leave the pylons on the side of the road and reduced speed limit signs. lol

Almost all road construction, around here, is suspended starting Nov. 15...until spring.

You ain't seen road construction till you've seen the work going on on the 405 in the OC.

It not only has the freeway messed up it's got the surface streets screwed up too.

I've driven that stretch 100's of times. Then to Decatur on 380.

Those construction crews are just relocated to I-35 between Austin and San Antonio.

In the same 42 years I have driven to Tulsa a few hundred times. I have actually made ONE round trip on the Turner Turnpike with no construction. They have been working on it since it opened in 1953 I think.

We lived in Corinth for about 6 years (35 years ago!) Just north of Lewisville and south of Denton.

Oops, I was thinking of the Cimarron Turnpike. Which is consistently one of the worst roads I’ve driven.

When Moore gets its next tornado, it will probably rip up all the pavement on I 35 and require it to be under construction again.
