Kessel run in 12 parsecs!

Hamilton, always wins, sucpicious to me, but what do I know? Shoemacher was the King, and still is. He actually raced...

Congrats to the winner , good points day for Red Bull . I disagree with the penalty given to Gasly he was in a sandwich and no place to go . I do agree with the penalty to Alonso he punted Mick . On to the next race 😊

I think I heard Ham yell... "tell Bernie to turn on his sprinklers" at the end there.

Not sure why Mercedes had Hamilton pit so late in the race. At that point and with him keeping good time to the cars in front and behind, he should have stayed out. Whoever made that call traded a P3 for a P5.
Nice drives by Bottas, Hamilton, and Sainz.

Hope Bottas keeps winning
He could maybe win championship himself, ahead of the other two.

The most reasonable explanation from Merc was that the team was hoping for a miracle and slicks would be the right choice for the last few laps. Alas, the window of opportunity never arrived for slicks and by then those inters were trash, and the ideal window to change to fresh inters had long since passed. You could see in the pit stop the tread was gone. If they would have kept him out on those rags, who knows what might have happened. 7th? A DNF?

I thought they called Hammie in due to the threat of rain and the condition of his tires.

This is Lewis we're talking about. He has a superhuman ability to make tires last longer than anyone else. And even when he loses a tire, he can still manage to drive with only three for almost a whole lap and win a race. I realize and considered everything you wrote, herr oberst. And I would have sided with Hammy and gambled, staying out.

I have been watching all the old Top Gear episodes on Amazon Prime. I just finished the episode from when Lewis changed from McLaren to Mercedes and Clarkson asked if he was just nuts for leaving a successful team to a team that had only won one race at the time. We all know how that decision turned out.
Lewis had driven on the Top Gear track but it was very wet and his time was not a winning time compared to the Stig and Reubens or Vettle. So he came back on a dry day to try again. He was over a second faster than the Vettle who was the fastest until then. Lewis also mentions that when Rubens Barrichello had beat the Stig he came to the next driver's meeting wearing a t-shirt that said "I beat the Stig" and handed out t-shirts to the other drivers that said The Stig beat me. He said getting to the top of the Top Gear track was a bigger thing than winning Monaco. I suspect that is only partly true. Love him or hate him, he is a great driver. Lucky as hell, but a great driver.

Did everyone get the "F1 in Turkey for the thanksgiving weekend" I guess only Canadians would get it as you southerners have a later thanksgiving., so never mind.
I thought it was funny. |

Hammy made a statement on the non-pit issue. He does say it was his call but notice that he doesn't apologize to the team for the slagging off and blame he gave them, just some stuff about being a team.
https://www.express.co.uk/sport/f1-autosport/1504078/Lewis-Hamilton-statement-Mercedes-Turkish-Grand-Prix "Yesterday we took the risk to stay out hoping it would dry, it didn't. I wanted to risk it and go to the end but it was my call to stay out and it didn't work. "In the end we did pit and it was the safest thing to do. "We live and we learn. We win and we lose as a team. Don't ever expect me to be all polite and calm on the radio when I'm racing, we are all very passionate and in the heat of the moment that passion can come out, as it does for all drivers. "My heart and spirit are out there on the track, it's the fire in me that's got me this far but any angst is quickly forgotten and we talked it through, already looking ahead to the nexrt race.

I enjoyed the commentary with Jenson Button. He gave a lot of good information from a drivers perspective and was funny and enthusiastic about the race and drivers battle.

Yep, he and Rossberg are great announcers. They can speak English without an insane accent that is really had to understand. Paul di Resta is really hard to understand with his thick Scottish accent.

I hate you
It will be TV for me. Dicked around too long and didn't clear my calendar nor get ticket. Maybe I'll just go to Lockhart and get some BBQ since it is pretty close to COTA. Have a great time!! You should hold up a Pelican Parts poster and wave at us all.
