How do you like your eggs?
A female friend of mine told me unfertilized. lol
Lately, I've been on a kick boiling my eggs to between soft and medium. Peel them, add a little salt, like a hard boiled egg, then bite down into the oozing, gooey goodness! Repeat. |
Eggs Benedict is my favorite, but difficult to make.
Over Easy with sea salt, and ground black pepper, a slice of cheese, mayo on white toast as a sandwich. |
Scrambled, omelet, fried, mostly in a Taco.
|
Soft boiled or poached are my favs.
If soft boiled...you need these.... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1615892318.jpg |
Never heard of eggs in a taco. Not like Hawaii is a Mexican food hub.

I like them from the 70s when eggs had actual flavor. I've tried every egg in the supermarket and they just don't have the same depth of flavor and richness as CT & MN in the 70s. I would be happy to pay $1 per egg—$12/carton for the same flavor I remember.
I eat a lot of eggs. And small batch bacon which is significantly better than regular bacon. Over-easy on heavily buttered toast is a favorite. |
Baked...like this. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1615893513.jpg
If not baked then in the form of an omelet. Coming in third is sunny side up. |
Over easy with some buttered white toast to mop up the yolk.
Nothing fancy. |

I never cared much for scrambled eggs until I read someones method on this forum a few years back.
Now I love them...so much more flavor than the way I had been doing them. |
Over easy to over medium or poached.
At the start of the pandemic last year we were getting eggs from a guy about a mile down the road. Chicken, duck, and guinea fowl. |
I like to eat my eggs this way, too. Waimanalo TKG – SALT & SAND

Huevos Rancheros!!!
I omit the tortilla often but it is traditional to have one. Pinto beans- home made Fried eggs - runny yokes Higher quality salsa heated in skillet with eggs Combined with a sprinkle of cheese and hot sauce A killer meal. I like to have it before skiing. |
Fried over easy. I found the perfectly weighted and dished skillet, never a break when flipping them. Just a little flick of the wrist.

I was introduced to them in college, about 40 years ago. https://foodwithfeeling.com/wp-conte...st-Tacos-7.jpg One of the best places in Texas is Torchy's Tacos. They really make omelets that they slip into a tortilla. The names of the various types are hillarious. https://torchystacos.com/menu/breakfast-tacos/ https://torchystacos.com/menu/damn-good-tacos/ |
One of my favs is two over easy served with bacon as a sammich in between two pancakes.

We make Eggs in purgatory on special weekends. So good and filling. https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1019109-eggs-in-purgatory?smid=ck-recipe-iOS-share

With gochujang grilled steak tips and udon noodles.

Ok, Shaun that is new to me. A variation on the TKG is to substitute freshly boiled noodles. It can be somen, udon, ramen, soba or saimin. You boil the noodles and pull it straight out of the pot and add a raw egg and soy sauce to the noodles and eat it like that. I like to add in some sesame oil.

I like eggs over easy
with flour tortillas... |

I just want to know who was the first guy who saw a chicken lay and egg and said, "Hey! Something came out of that chicken's butt. I wonder what it tastes like!!" |

How do I like my eggs. I don't really care as long as they are fresh, and when I know what that hen ate. |
Heavy, black and oily
|
I like them not hard boiled, unless they are deviled, then they are edible. Just about any other is OK. I don't like the Tamagoyaki much though it is still better than hard boiled.
|
My favorite way is with heavy cream, sugar and vanilla and then frozen. :)
|
Hollandaise is not difficult to make. And it's yummy.
Souffles are nice, when done right. Fried egg is a nice addition to a cheeseburger with ham. Eggs are so versatile. They are also among the most nutritious things you can eat. |

Fried tortillas Fried eggs. Sauce made from cooking crushed, roasted tomatoes, minced garlic and onions and a halved habanero for about 20 minutes. Cheese |
|
Scrambled with Thyme, Garlic powder, salt, pepper mixed with broccoli, cauliflower, yellow peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheese and an avocado.
In the Navy not so picky. Navy Chef asks how do you want your eggs. reply Just stick your Richard in them you are going to F them up anyways. |
+1 over easy with toast, bacon
poached on an english muffin with holladaise Soft boiled on toast Can't go wrong with any of the 3, or modifying them with tomatoes, avocado, sausage...sky's the limit |
|
The best scrambled eggs IMO: separate, cook the whites first, then blend in the yolk for about one minute.
The whites need more cooking time, the yoks need less. When done properly this method really good. And as added bonus you can make the scrambled eggs a bit runnier without eating raw egg whites, if that's what you like. Seems like something that wouldn't make a big difference, but it does. |
Egg, bacon, cheese sandwich on toasted kaiser roll with lots of butter and a little ketchup. Nellie's free range eggs and cob smoked local bacon. Very messy with yolk going everywhere but so worth the few paper towels on hand.

Over medium
Scrambled Omelete Hard boiled Egg salad but made with fresh boiled eggs so it's still warm. The texture is much better than cold. |

You CAN NOT get them in TX. Every time I'm back east it's one of the first things I get. Find me a deli and savor in the glory. But I need the Kaiser to have poppy seeds and no ketchup or anything else, just Salt and Pepper. So good. |

That's what I was meaning in post 11....Maybe I heard it from you earlier? It's amazing how much more flavor it brings out of the eggs. |
