Strange dreams

I get a lot of weird dreams. Sometimes they are violet and dark where I kill someone. Othertimes, just strange like I'm with one of my female friends and we are bouncing on those giant rubber balls. Had a really weird one this past weekend.

I saw an ex of mine and she invited me to a company party at her house. At the party, this 30 something woman was getting me drunk. Things got blurry and I could not walk or stand. I got roofied! The ex was pissed at me. She tells the woman I am her ex, and tells me the woman is her daughter! I know her 20 something daughter, but not this one.

A couple weeks ago I had another weird one. I was hanging with one of my college friends because she was going through a divorce. She had a party at her parents home with some hoighty toighy types dressed to the nines. I was in casual clothes. When I was ready to go home, one of the guests had my car and was using it for a photo shoot and needed it for the next day. He offered me a ton of money just to use the car for the shoot. Then the photog and others turned out to be space aliens.

So, what are your weird dreams?

I can do lucid dreaming sometimes. But I usually find myself in a weird dream and go from there.

Mostly talking to strange inter-dimensional beings inside orbs of light. Half the time I dont realize im dreaming.

Sometimes Jennifer Lawrence..

Nearly every night. Last night...

I am eating in a restaurant. At a table with a few people that seem to be friends (none that I can identify). At a table next to us are people I know. I go over to talk to them. In one chair is a lady with a guy stretched out lengthwise across her lap. I talk to the folks at the table for a few minutes and we all get up to leave.

I go to pay my tab and the cashier tells me my tab was placed on the tab of the table next to mine. I was horrified! I ran out to pay up and all of those folks were getting into a bus. I stopped one guy and gave him $40, telling him it was more than enough to cover my tab. All is good.

I go to find my ride (a red Honda 750 that I don't currently own) and it is gone. It was parked right in front of the restaurant. I go inside and ask them if they had moved it. Nope. I searched around inside the restaurant, no bike to be found. I go back outside and look around and still no cycle to be found. I ask a passerby and he says "This is the wrong place to be leaving anything." He points to the corner intersection where there is a group of kids hot wiring a car. Sadly, I woke up prior to finding my bike.

I have been having dreams nearly every night since I started taking my cholesterol medicine. My doctor said it is a side effect and as long as it isn't bad I'm okay. If they are nightmares and I wake up sweating badly she'll give me sleeping pills?

I have dreamed a 1000 times about not remembering where my jr high school locker was and that I'd left stuff in it. Same thing about a '36 MG that I used to own. It's in a garage somewhere and I can't find it.

Many, many recurring themes, usually frustrating. A lot of landscapes that don't exist. And some dreams about my dad. He's much younger but I don't know what age I am. Hardly ever dream about my mother or any other family. They don't exist in my dream world. The ex wife does and usually in much better form than she actually was (a raving beotch).

Conversations.

No aliens.

AFA dying or killing, that would be very rare and a wake-up dream for sure. Those are nasty.

/\ /\ /\ I’ve had many dreams where I’m in college and haven’t been to class in so long, I’m running around and can’t find what room the class is in. Another recurring dream is I get drafted again and no matter how many times I tell them I already served, they just keep saying, “shut up and get back in line!”

Rarely dream. Last one was about remodeling a friends kitchen in Florida, a house I've never been to. Tame stuff, and not that often.

Hope your dreams aren't caused by the coffee.....

I have had countless dreams where I have lost my car (can't remember where I parked it and can't find it).

I also often dream of walking into a classroom of some sorts and have to sit for an exam completely unprepared and usually on some subject that I know nothing about like medieval history or biology. I was last in college in 1981.

When I have been exercising a lot and my leg muscles are sore, I often dream of being back in the military doing basic training - also early 1980's experiences that return to the subconscious.

When I am in "working out" mode, I have weird dreams and remember them. I'm swimming about 2500 meters a day right now...

Last night: I was over at a house with a pool in the back yard. This woman has a baby. It needed to poop, so she put it in the pool, it is just floats, head up about chest level. And she said something like: "Wait till it turns pink". The baby really poops and at the end, there is a cloud of pink in the water. She pulls the baby out. I look down and there is a pile of baby poop in the pool and a cloud of "pink". Very shortly there after, the poop starts to turn white (like ash), and some guy comes by with a shovel and is removing the "ash" from the pool.

This morning I'm thinking, what kind of chlorine level do you have to run to have the baby poop turn white..

This morning I dreamt I was wailing on some righteous harmonica solo.
ba da taa daa... da ba da.....
At the song progressed, the sounds became a monotone beet.
da da da da da da.

It became a bit redundant. "I can do better than that" I thought.

Then I woke up. Simultaneously the "da da da" converted from harmonica playing notes to my alarm clock buzzing "da da da"

Bummer. Time go get up and go to work.

Whenever I get a dream like that that incorporates some part of the real world into it, I always wonder how long the dream actually took. Like did the sound happen and then my mind created a dream that seemed like it gradually progressed over a few minutes but in reality it was all in my mind in an instant, beginning the second the alarm rang.

I often wonder if dream time corresponds to real life time. Or if a dream that seems like it unfolds over a hour really happens in a fraction of that time. It must because the REM part of the sleep cycle is shorter than my dreams seem to be to me.

John

I had regular nightmares due to my cholesterol medicine. I switched from taking it just before bed to taking it in the morning and haven’t had a problem since.

I thought you were going to say it morphed to this:

@ MikeSid- I've heard a dream within a dream slows time by an exponential factor. Because inception says so. I think the whole dream was about 10 seconds tops. Probably more like 3-5 seconds. It was quick.

I have dreams in which I can't find something or I'm lost or whatever and I ask anybody nearby to help. Nobody seems to know what I'm talking about so I go frantically from person to person trying to solve my problem.

Very frustrating.

I used to have dreams where I'm running in slow motion, like I'm encased in gelatin. Sure enough, someone or something is chasing me...

You guys are all nucking futs!

I don’t have many dreams I remember. Maybe the whiskey helps? I used to have recurring dreams about dinosaurs in the aircraft plant where I used to work, and living a fairly normal life intermixed with zombies. I’m sure a shrink could have fun with those.

Whenever I had a high fever as a youngster, I would have this recurring dream where I was in the clouds running away from a giant monster.
