The dash bando is $20 or $30 depending on if you get the original or the second version. I looked at some like you and thought, "that's really cool.". If I'd seen one for $22, I might have bought it. But I would be a little concerned about rough edges and how something so stiff and squared would be to carry, and if it would wear spots into pockets. |

Ridge is made in China Steve.
It is rigid but it’s not sharp or rough in any way. I wear jeans that fit on tighter side and front pocket hasn’t been a problem. |

A "nice" wallet is essential IMO... It's like a Karma thing because it leads to astute spending.
Probably not to everyone's taste but this is what I carry when wearing a suit. (2 or 3 times a week)

My wife gave me an Il Bisonte brown leather wallet twenty years ago. It shows no signs of wear. I keep it in my shoulder bag 99% of the time. I don’t like having anything in my pockets. It will hopefully last the rest of my life.

Stumbled across this front packet wallet / money clip in a tourist trap store in St. Augustine many years ago and grabbed it.
I think it lasted almost 10 years before it finally wore out. I purchased 2 new and keep one in my sock drawer for when the current one wears out. https://buffalobillfoldcompany.com/shop/leather-money-clip-card-holder/

Yeah, I like nice leather wallets. But every time I go to buy one, I end up buying a nice pen or get distracted by nice boobs.

I lost my SS card probably 40 years ago. Have never needed it. I know the number. Got DL, passport, jobs, etc without the little paper card.

I can't see carrying a DL and tap card only. I need at least 3 cards for medical, an AAA card, Costco card, CVS card (yes I can give a ph no. at CVS, but I won't let them have it because they use it to market at you). Same with the super market, no card, punch in a dead ph no. for the discount/tracking.
But then I have to have a couple hundred in various bills because I never know when a deal will pop up, And they do, especially when totally unexpected. I take payment in CASH only and buy quite a bit with cash, like groceries and gas. |

You can scan some of this into your phone...
Like a AAA card, for instance. All you need is the account number and phone number. Medical cards, too. |

It's all the fault of you guys!
Joe Bob's fault in particular. Just got off the phone..ordered that RFID tri=fold wallet I linked to earlier from the NRA store.
Thinking about it, there's some sweet irony there...I'll consider it to be spending some of Biden's "stimulus" money with the National Rifle Association. ![]() (edit) I'm with Zeke...just call us old curmudgeons set in our ways. Not quite ready to join the cashless society and the brave new world...

Last time I used my AAA account, I didn’t even give them the number over the phone, let alone show them anything when they showed up. And I routinely let people scan things on my phone, bar codes and scan codes for instance, at stores and even the post office. Lots of options out there, I was drug into it kicking and screaming by my kids, some of it’s pretty handy. |

I’m loyal to an “Allett” slim wallet. It is a good wallet, quality and thin and US made, but I use it because a Pelican was with the company. I don’t remember the details but I remember he is departed and it was sad.

I was on a wallet buying spree a few years ago... I purchased a minimalist Saddleback Leather Co like this: https://saddlebackleather.com/leather-wallet-mens-front. I use it with business casual.
And then I bought two of these Dango wallets, supposedly made in USA. https://www.dangoproducts.com/products/d01-dapper-wallet. I may have a link that gives you $10 off if you’re interested. I use these outdoors. The one that’s least used is the folding wallet that is also made in USA by a small outfit called Pegai, available on Etsy or Amazon. |

I have a ton of wallets because people buy them for me as gifts. The gf likes buying LV wallets and they are ok, but don't last more than a couple years. Recently, she bought me an Armani wallet. The leather is so soft and the wallet is my favorite.

I am going to order a Ridge.
I am done with my leather wallet. minimize crap. I have a wallet like the OP with my SS card and other "certificates" in it..but it is in safe holdings. I don't carry that crap. there is no way I would carry that much stuff.
