More: Damn scammers
I am the administrator of the web site for our business. We set up forms for potential clients to fill out. I really think that is a waste of electrons, most potential clients just email us directly, or call us. Both our email and phone numbers are on the web site.
So far most of the forms are someone in Russia and the entire message is in Cyrillic and in Russian, and sorry, I am prejudiced against dealing with Russians, especially on the internet. We certainly don't do business in Russia or China or any communist country. We would love a trip to Europe or Australia, but I know there are local companies that can do it cheaper than our travel costs. Anyway yesterday I got this: First Name Mel Last Name White Phone Number 17182155003 Meshot6173@aol.com Comment Hi, This is Melika and I am a professional photographer and illustrator. I was puzzled, putting it lightly, when I recognised my images at your website. If you use a copyrighted image without an owner's approval, you should be aware that you could be sued by the creator. It's unlawful to use stolen images and it's so mean! Here is this document with the links to my images you used at (deleted) and my earlier publications to obtain the evidence of my copyrights. Download it right now and check this out for yourself: google.com/view/609834577830942/drive/folders/storage/shared/download?d=457056613652838548[/url] If you don't delete the images mentioned in the document above within the next several days, I'll file a to your hosting provider letting them know that my copyrights have been severely infringed and I am trying to protect my intellectual property. And if it doesn't help, trust me I am going to report and sue you! And I won't give you a prior notice again. I disabled the link. It is a file that is likely ransomware or a virus. His phone number does not work, his email is invalid and likely his name is bogus. We do not have any imagery on our site that is not ours. I tried to send him an email in which I speculated his mother was a prostitute, and he father was a monkey, and other insults. It bounced in seconds. ***king scammers.

He must think you’re a real rube. Anyone who publishes anything knows it will likely be stolen eventually and there is no practical way to stop it or even be credited. I’ve had dozens of photos and complete magazine articles stolen and published on web sites. They are word for word except my name has been removed.

Who uses AOL anymore
![]() We do internal phishing training and our employees are very good at spotting them (IT), so I turned up the complexity of the emails and they are VERY real looking now. I would assume the majority of people would fall for them coming from outside their company.
