Turns out to be almost entirely psychosomatic...what a shock.

I wonder how many of the anti-vaxers are really just afraid of needles? And even more afraid to admit it? Don't laugh...a significant percentage of adults are terrified of needles. Me? IDGAS...they could stick me 50 times a day. I may have some other phobia that I'm not aware of but not needles. The fear is so real that it prompts a physical reaction in a small percentage of vaccine recipients. It would not matter if they were receiving saline water...they break out in shivers and blow chunks.

I guess there must be something wrong with me. I was wiped out tired for a couple days. Pfizer.

Not afraid of National Guard women SLAMMING needles in my arm either. (like, cmon.. really?)

My wife felt horrible for 30 hours after the AstraZeneca shot. My field was the same for 20 hours after his.

A friend was exhausted for 3 days after the Pfizer shot.

Needles don't bother me. But the 2F increase in my temperature was not psychosomatic. Neither was the arm pain, a few hours after each shot.

In fact, the way we figured out that I was in the control group in the Moderna Phase 3 study was that I did not have arm pain a few hours after the injection.

No doubt there are people who are "over-sensitive" to the vaccine.

Personally I hate needles. I can't watch someone stick me and really can't stand to watch someone being stuck. When my wife got an epidural with our first child, the anesthesiologist looked at me and asked if I was okay. Yeah... not a fan of needles. They tried to get me to give myself allergy shots once and I told them that ain't happenin.

Second dose of Pfizer kicked my butt last Friday. Spend the whole day in bed with 101 temp. Felt like I got hit by a truck. No energy. Better by noon next day.

I had both rounds of Pfizer and had no reaction.

I had a bad reaction to a measels vaccine when I was in college.

I do lab work monthly for a medication I am on to make sure my liver is still functioning properly, so no fear of any type of needle here.

Both Pfizer shots were not enjoyable for me. Flu shots are not enjoyable for me, meningitis shots did nothing to me at all.

I simply chose to not get any more shots related to Covid. I did my duty.

Ok, sorry... I should have been clearer. The second shot wiped me out for a day as well. That is considered a normal reaction. The article is about people who had abnormal reactions that turned out to be psychosomatic.

I have a had a number of coworkers staying at home or complaining of not feeling well for days after their seconds shots.

My shots didn't phase me - fortunately. Needles do scare some people. In college there was a blood drive. I was saying I'd go to give blood, & one of the guys (good friend) said he would too. We were standing in line talking when he fainted. Just kind of looked up, said "oooohhh" and dropped onto the floor. I picked him up, carried him out to the lounge area and laid him on a couch. He came to and told me he was deathly scared of needles. Ended up neither one of us gave blood.

Got my second dose yesterday. My arm started to hurt a little, but that was many hours after getting the shot. Felt fine today and got things done.
I was expecting trouble, but it never arrived, so I'm thankful.

Many of the 64 people affected either fainted or reported dizziness. Some got nauseous or vomited, and a few had racing hearts, chest pain or other symptoms. None got seriously ill.

The article reports these short term reactions, right after receiving the vaccine. Totally conceivable that these are hypochondriacs. Just the sight of a needle will cause this type of reaction in some people.

I can't say the second shot was fun, but side effects are clearly documented and harmless. My employer gives a day off if needed.

2nd Pfizer shot gave me a 36 hr headache that was the worst I've ever had.
I normally never get headaches. Had to search the local stores for something that would work.

A coworker was out for 8 days after the 2nd moderna shot. He says he had a fever ranging from 100 to 102 and severe joint pain. This guy has not taken a sick day in 20 something years. I doubt it was in his head. Interesting thing is, he said he’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Had a bad cold starting last Friday and my 2nd Moderna shot lined up for Sunday. Got the shot and was expecting the worst, but only felt the cold symptoms getting better. No issues today.

She never gets sick. We both had covid, 8-9 days of hell each. I had to pick her up from work after the 1st Moderna, sick as a dog. She scheduled off work for the aftermath of the 2nd shot. Good thing because it knocked her on her ass for 2 days.

I've had neither.

Ha! Psychosomatic......oh wait it made me really sick. C’mon Denis, let’s at least be honest here. Btw five members of my extended family work in health care, all had some adverse reaction to the vaccine. When I say adverse, all worse than the normal flu shot sore arm. Two of them were down for several days sick as hell.

Second phizer I woke up with sore and stiff muscles the second day with 100 degree fever. It literally shut off at midnight like a light switch. Felt perfect the following day and no more headaches.

That's interesting, people's reaction to the vaccines really varies. I felt zilch after the first Moderna and the day after the second one, I slept all day but not really ill other than fatigue. Next day, I was right as rain.

I think that if you guys read the article, it's about people who had serious effects caused by anxiety. Anxiety is real and it can definitely cause physical symptoms.

My brother just had Covid and I'd rather have the vaccine effects any day of the week and twice on Sunday. but that's just me.
