Bought a Jeep Gladiator

Well just like I posted a few weeks ago, I ended up pulling the trigger on a Gladiator Mojave. The color is Snazberry which I freaking love, and I got one with a stick, hard top, leather, and the lighting package. I got about $5k off of MSRP which was the best I could find considering the current crazy vehicle market. Happy to be back in a Jeep!

3.6 V6 and a six speed manual. “Adequate” is the term that comes to mind. I’ve already priced the supercharger kits that bump power by almost 60%, if that tells you anything.:)

Do you really need to? Doesnt the V6 put out close to 300HP?

Through the flint hills, which are moderate and relatively long uphill grades, I sometimes had to downshift to maintain 82 on I35. Like I said, adequate.

Sorry to be the downer here Matt, 99.9% of the time you have excellent taste in automobiles. I will log in here as the outlier saying that is no Jeep and is one ugly ride. Color is great but cannot make up the ugly. Sorry man!

No, that combo needs more go power, I agree with Matt.

Does Jeep offer a kit so the warranty stays around?

American cars have come a long way, but they still have way too much hard plastic inside.

Beauty is in the eye...

Actually, in this age of lookalike pickemups, I think they look pretty cool. Awaiting a long term use report..

With the caveat I am not a fan of Jeeps, I would say I like the fact it is not "bigger and better ".
I could see myself in one of those with wheels and tires which fit inside the arches. Get rid of the tow hooks or at least paint them grey. I would be glad to give up the rear doors and seats for an eight foot box. Hmmm. Maybe I was scarred by working with a Jeep pick up in'77 for a couple of weeks. That was a truck.
Enjoy the beastie!

Best
Les

They look good in person. I am also interested in a real world use report.

If I ever get another truck it will be smaller than my current Tundra.

I agree. Every pickup on the road looks almost like every other pickup on the road. Jeep stayed true to the brand...I like that. Amazed it was available with a 6 speed. Could make it more difficult to sell when the time comes, but perhaps not.

Definitely NOT a chick car.

Congrats.

Thanks!:D I’ve had one TJ and two JK Wranglers, if you took a Jeep guy blindfolded and gave him a ride around the block he would instantly identify this thing as a Jeep. Though it is the best riding and handling Wrangler that I’ve experienced.

Since I was downsizing from an F250 and no longer have to tow a boat, my requirements were seating for four adults in comfort and five in a pinch, smaller form factor in my small garage, room to haul our boating gear and home improvement project materials, and something more fun and unique than the usual 1/2 ton truck. This checks all the boxes, along with satisfying my wife and I desire for another Jeep. It’s hard to beat top off doors off summer driving.

Actually have a question for the Jeep guys here, what is the best forum for newer Wranglers? There’s about a dozen forums for the Wrangler.

I use this jeep forum.

I'm with you here. Not judging, but this is the last thing I would've thought that Matt would be putting in his driveway.

I think that they are cool. Without going back to your original thread about road testing various small trucks, how are the seats and the ride?

One nice thing about Jeep Wranglers is that the resale values are off the hook.
