I don't know how fast a bass can swim, but judging by the boats they use to chase them, they must swim at least 70 mph

Fast on the water is a very different experience than fast in other forms of travel. But fast in a big boat and fast in a little boat are night and day.

I have been over 100MPH in one of these a 17' Hydrostream with a screaming Mercury tower of power lying on my back taking a picture of the speedometer as we went through the bridges. Starting at the bottom of this pic through the open train bridge and under the next bridge. exactly the path those two boats are taking. Hands down the most frightening experience of my life.

My boat will do about 55 per the GPS, feels like about 120. At the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout boat races last year the top run was 203 by American Ethanol. I can’t even imagine what that feels like.

My seadoo speedster is pretty fast. It’s 14.5’ long with a 215 HP supercharged Rotax...

At sea level they will supposedly do 70. I’ve had it at 55 MPH on the GPS on a lake at elevation before I changed the impeller. It does 50 MPH all day long now with the aftermarket impeller.

80 MPH here. Felt like 80 on a motorcycle. An old motorcycle like a Norton, sitting up.

But I think speed on water is exponential meaning 100 vs. 80 would seem 2wice as fast. 60 is nothing unless you're the one on the ski. No thanks.

Just went to local garage sale. One stop had an 18 bass boat. 110 Johnson outboard. Looks like it would do upper 30s low 40s depending on prop pitch.

Was talking to the wife. No much information. Tons of crapola inside but the sticker said 2021. New wasser pump.
