Hii My friend also consists of a small backyard pool which he had recently installed. It is a saltwater pool and of dimensions 10 feet wide and 50 feet long. We all spent our weekends inside the pool, especially in the evening. Next time I will upload the pitcher inside the pool with my iPhone 8 Plus

That was exciting. Possible anywhere. ^That^ one was in Brazil. I suspect the USA and UK are probably far more over engineered to resist failure. I would think that Brazil may not have the same safety margin. I wouldn't expect the same kind of safety margins anywhere south of the US border or in China either.

Engineering failures aren’t limited to Third World countries.

One of the biggest design flaws that I can recall was in a high-rise building in Manhattan that had a sizable chance of coming down because of wind loads. If I remember correctly, a grad student first discovered the problem, which was confirmed by the original engineers and the building was quietly retrofitted (quickly, too) without the public being advised of the potential problem.

The same company that designed the pedestrian bridge in FL designed and was constructing the new bridge over the Houston Ship Channel. The design was reviewed and found to be fatally flawed. A new company is starting over.

There is a TV show called Engineering Disasters. They covered many buildings, bridges and highway collapses. There are indeed many that are all from poor engineering. Some from causes that were never thought about and some just from a disaster that was beyond the design specs.

The Houston Ship Channel Bridge was covered last summer on Engineering Disasters.

Somethings are "Failure of Imagination". But most would have been prevented with a little insight. As Engineers, we have to think about all the ways something can be abused, misused or unexpected natural factors.

There's gotta be MUCH easier ways that that to compromise one of those pools. remotely detonated shape charge seems like a possibility, and wouldn't require you to be completely visible from above and below in the process.
