Well, I got the promotion. And an effen big spider
Before we all get excited and all; it’s a temporary assignment. But the new way of doing business, is in order to get at a permanent promotion it’s best to earn a temp position. Without it, somehow management feel you are not serious. Hmmmm.
I’ll leave my cush position right near my home and will now have to supervise a group in another county. About a 1 hour commute. I’ll live. My current boss will retire soon and if I don’t mess this up, I’ll walk into his shoes. I’m nervous and excited. I do not want to let anyone down. I have had sine great mentors and supervisors. I thought I choked the interview, if I’m being honest. To cap off the happy evening, I just got charged by a big Brown, fast 2” diameter SPIDER! I almost had a heart attack. Haha. Funny to die right before the new assignment. It was behind my food processor. Ggggaaahhhhaaaayyyyyaaaaa!

Ugh, spiders. They make us just weird.
When a was about 11, we had an antique grain cutter on our porch just because Dad liked it’s looks. Never used it, just cool looking. One day there’s a freaky large jumping spider just sitting there. It was about level with my belly button. I had a baseball in my hand and decided I’d smash it...’cuz I hated spiders. I thought I’d just do a quick jab and he’d be flat. But when I did, the ball approach was slightly too far away, and the spider guts shot right onto my shirt at chest level. The guts were prob 10mm in diameter and I just froze. How do I get this shirt over my head when the guts will almost touch my face.  I just had chills thinking about that day. Sooo gross. Oh yeah, congrats on the new gig. I’m gonna need me some shower now.
