Ego makes a great lawn mower and string trimmer

Batteries last for a yard about 10-12K square feet. String trimmer is easy to load.

Dewalt makes powerful weed eaters and leaf blowers too. 20 volt or 60 volt.

My Son just bought a Hart leaf blower from Walmart. The thing is extremely powerful and priced reasonably. I find myself grabbing it to clean the barn floor or get the stones off the concrete approach rather than my Husqvarna backpack blower.

had ego stuff for a few years and have been more than satisfied.

The speed control on my weedeater has gotten a little wonkey in the last year. Full speed and half speed work fine but I have lost fine control. I have had it for 3 years still works well enough. Mower has been flawless for 2 years as have the batterie. I can mow my yard 2times on a single charge of the 7.5 AH battery. yard is small, 9000 sqft lot but in houston it turns into a jungle between mowing.

As I have said a few times, I will never go back to gas yard tools unless I move to multiple acres and then still probably not.

I find Ryobi to be good value. I'm sure you can spend more and get better, but they have served me well.

i need one. i have gotten into the habit of blowing out my garage with my leaf blower. its so fast. takes more time to start my POS Husky blower.

I would not recommend Ryobi. In my experience, about the only good thing about them is that they are among the least expensive.
We have a Ryobi 18v leaf blower. It works ok for small stuff, but can't really handle the big leaf maple in our back yard. The original battery had some sort of internal fault and will no longer charge.
I tried one of their chain saws, but the motor overheated and tripped a thermal switch on the first use. There was no external breaker for it, and it didn't reset after cooling down, so i returned it. I would be wary even under light use, though, because the tensioner was fussy and the oiler didn't dispense enough oil.

We have a B&D trimmer of the old 18v variety that just died after 14 years. I think it is a brush in the motor, but it has served use well and was probably undersized for how we used it. Got a new 20v 2 speed and will see how that goes. Dad has a similar one to our old one and gave him the 5000mAH batteries. On of those will do his yard 3 times before it needs charged again where it would do about 2/3 our trimming needs befor ewe got a gas trimmer to supplement. I don't like using the gas against the play set or fruit trees so the kids use electric on those.

We have a Greenworks leaf blower. It was the most cfm and wind speed for the least money. Haven't had to use it yet but it seems to blow very well in testing.

I won't either. When we sell the farm, and I take really good care of all the Stihl stuff I own (my 27 year-old Stihl trimmer starts like a Camry) , I'll never own a gas powered anything again for the yard. Chainsaw may be the only exception.

They have electric powered ZT mower, FTW!

BTW, I do Ego as well. One blower so far, very satisfied.

Interesting. I have Ryobi blower and string trimmer. They both seem to have enough power and battery life for what I need/use. I don't need much out of either, but if I did, I have 3 batteries, so I could swap batteries. The only problem that I see with an electric ZT is that once the batteries are dead, you've got to wait until they recharge to use it again. I assume you won't be unplugging a battery pack and then plug in a spare. Of course, maybe the battery life is enough for that to not be an issue. I don't know.

I have a 10yr old string trimmer
a 3yr old string trimmer
chain saw
horizontal disk edger attachment for the newer trimmer(bottom attachments are interchangeable)
vertical edger disk attachment
backpack blower
2 hand held blowers, the newer 525cfm is the nuts but they have an even more powerful 730cfm version that beats the back pack

also 1/2 dozen 4 to 6 amp hr batteries

I have an Ego leaf blower and it outperformed my Echo gas powered one by a long shot. Really impressive power as well as battery life.

I'd used my Ryobi 18V string trimmer a few times a little bit, but today I used it for about 1.5 hours. I went through 2 4AH batteries, which, is impressive to me, 45mins on a battery, and I was throwing tough stuff at it. I was also impressed with the performance. I'm happy and impressed with the model that I bought. I thought I paid $99, but I also thought I got the brushless motor. So I'm not certain which I got and I'm not going to run out to the garage to check.

string trimmer, with pruning attachment
525 cfm blower
Very happy with all of them. All their gas powered predecessors were out on the front lawn with a "Free" sign on them, after the first time that I used the new ones. All were gone the next day. The only thing that I need to keep the gas can for is the snow blower.
No more 2 stroke mix, yay!
