Covid relief scammer caught

https://democratherald.com/news/local/lebanon-man-pleads-guilty-in-covid-relief-scam/article_058be120-447e-556d-8a6c-6a3761415ae4.html#tracking-source=home-trending

"In October 2020, federal agents initiated an investigation into Lloyd based on information suggesting he had fraudulently applied for PPP loans and EIDL at multiple financial institutions. Beginning in April 2020, Lloyd began submitting loan applications using numerous business names and personally identifiable information of relatives and business associates without their consent.

Lloyd submitted false documentation to justify the loan amounts requested, including an IRS Form 944 listing the 2019 wages purportedly paid by entities controlled by Lloyd. Total wages allegedly paid by these entities ranged from $3 million to more than $4.7 million."

Okay, this guy got caught...makes me wonder how many are out there who weren't caught?

It's hard to believe because I applied for a PPP loan for my company and it took months to get approved and gobs of paperwork.

I met this guy in my old apt complex. He visited someone several times. He always parked his Lambo Urus in the handicapped parking. I'm pretty sure he was not handicapped.

I wouldn't want to go to court for criminal issues. I wouldn't want to go to prison for any criminal issues. I especially wouldn't want to be the target of the Federal govt.

In California there were thousands and thousands of unemployment scams, and that is just the people that were prisoners in state prisons committing fraud.

Unemployment scams are a fulltime job, if you take it/them seriously…

This doesn't even begin to account for the people taking unemployment, applying for jobs, and refusing them or not responding. Just so they can say "I applied!".

The man that lives across the street from me, is an attorney, and works at the sate Attorney General's off for the AG. Two of the other employees had their names used in unemployment scams. The very office that prosecutes scammers. He said those cases got extra attention.
