She didn't explain much of what happened above...did they give it back to her?

Yes, she was persistent as hell and they finally gave it up.

stevej37 08-20-2023 04:23 PM

^^^ excellent.
Not much help available for her if it went south on her.

JackDidley 08-20-2023 04:38 PM

She was calm but I could tell she was a bit rattled. One of the rare times I could tell she was actually pissed off.

I'm still catching up...just watched season 7 Liberia mud roads.
I could hardly stand watching the Liberian man slip and burn her clutch for the whole episode. I know he was just trying to help her and it might have been the only way out, but it was very hard to watch. I can only imagine what she went through.

Yes, that guy was revving the piss out of it and slipping the clutch something awful . It seems that was the only way to keep going. She stayed pretty cool through the whole thing. She was happy just to get out of that. There were vehicles stuck there for months.

^^^
And his brother towed her for 190KM? with a rope tied to her front forks!!!
It's a wonder that she didn't crash during that tow.

141 K from Fishtown to the border. She is one tough chick and she met some great guys that helped her.

stevej37 11-30-2023 02:03 PM

The last episode I watched was them finishing up the clutch replacement. I haven't seen the results yet on the road, but I was questioning their 'workshop'? A pallet outside. Hopefully they did a good job.

JackDidley 12-01-2023 09:55 AM

They did a fine job. Only thing I think they missed was hooking a fuel line to the auxiliary gas tank. She found that out when she filled up. I liked it when they test drove it barefooted.

Just watched the 'Temple of Rats' episode in India....Yech.

stevej37 01-01-2024 10:06 AM

I'm currently almost through the 'India Series 2023'. What's up after that? I don't see any more on her playlists?

I also heard that she took time off to get married? True?

JackDidley 01-01-2024 10:51 AM

Back to Africa. Rainy season is over. No, she is not married. She attended a wedding she came up on while riding. Lots of other youtubers used the event for clickbait.

stevej37 01-01-2024 11:01 AM

I watched that (season 7) before the India Series 2023.
So..aside from the 'best of' episodes, I think I'm caught up.

She just uploaded a new Africa video yesterday. Are you sure you are caught up ??

stevej37 01-01-2024 11:08 AM

I just checked season 7 on the playlist and the last one I watched was the first part of episode 61.
So I did miss 61-69. Maybe she will add more as I watch them.

Nasty crash in todays video.

That's too bad. I sure would not want to be there and hurt. I don't know why, there may be good medical. However, if she was smart, she has emergency medical flight insurance and can get home quickly.

Cant say about insurance but she is smart for sure.

stevej37 05-19-2024 10:05 AM

I just now watched that.....not good, if broken collarbone she won't be riding for a while.
I have hit things like she showed with a bike and with motorcycle. It can shoot the bike right out from under you before you can correct....it can be nasty.
