Ferrari has a new simulator

https://www.crash.net/f1/news/982810/1/ferrari-s-new-f1-simulator-gets-green-light-ahead-2022

Obviously, no pictures. Jeez, I would love to see what a simulator that takes two years to build, budgeted with Ferrari F1 money looks like.

Similar to the Boeing 787 simulator? Maybe even better?

Back in the olden days the company I worked for flew mapping projects for all the approaches for Tinker AFB. Early days of digitizing the images and all compiled into what a pilot would see when coming in to land. The Air Force had some wiz-bang new fancy simulator they were working on. It would have been neat to see it, but we just supplied the imagery.

Now with computer modeling no doubt it is more realistic and sharper. No way can they simulate the 5.8 Gee of braking or 5 Gee of cornering forces, but I bet it is a fun simulator for the drivers for about 10 minutes, and then it is just another boring job.

Only if it doesn't received its required a ridiculous amount of maintenance at short intervals at great cost.

Ferrari and stimulator would be redundant.

I hope it's better than half a dozen other common PC game simulators on the market.

(Knowing Ferrari...it probably is).

So it simulates a ride on the back of a tow truck, or being on a lift getting maintenance?
