My 2002 is in the final hours on BAT!

Check it out on BAT, it's listed as:
Modified 1972 BMW 2002 5 speed

It will sell for half of what's been put into the car of course but someone will be the new owner of a very fun and showable car

Here you go Denis:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1972-bmw-2002-62/

That car reminds me of my '68 1600 that I had in '72. Your car is everything I would have wanted my car to be back then.
GLWTA!
It looks super nice.

I am glad I am NOT in the market - I would SOOOO overpay for that car!

As Scott wrote, You fixed all the stuff I did not like about my 1971 2002.

Looks like a really nice 2002! I’m a big fan. The water is warm- what do you think it’ll bring? My guess- $30K.

I would have run a cold air tube from the snorkle over to the air cleaner, you know, just to duct the cool air over there. =;>)

I'm the second owner and the fourth. Long story, but I first bought the thing in 1977 when I was 23 years old. Been through a lot with the car and it's like selling a kid. I bet I've bought and sold 30 cars since then and kept this one but now it's time

I would if there was still air cleaner. Just a dome filter now

I'd put it on just to get the cold air close to the air cleaner. Doesn't need to be like the stock cleaner snorkel setup.

That's one of the biggest selling prices I've seen on a 2002 - congrats! I thought $35-40K was the top of the market on those. Wow!

I bought my 71 2002 new for $3,500 out the door and sold it for that 14 years later. I guess I should have kept it. It had the usual issues: rear end bearing, transmission layshaft bearing, window regulator, some rust, seat structure, rocker shaft, etc. A very good car for that period.
