I too have a few Benchmades, my favorite. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637379976.jpg
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637379976.jpg I have owned these since I was a teen. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637380092.jpg I have a modern version as well :D and yes, it is a automatic, mine is just like this. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637380859.jpg I know, kinda gimmicky, but I like it. Although I ordered a Swiss Army cigar knife, but hasn't arrived yet. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637380194.jpg Now, this one is very special to me, a couple of friends had it made for me for my birthday a few years back. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637380430.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637380430.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637380430.jpg That's not a knife, this is a knife... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637380983.jpg |

I'm playing with one of mine with staining the blade (FeChloride/lemon juice/whatever) and even attempting filework on the spine. No pix as it turns out that crap is difficult to do well! For tacticool - I was gifted a Medford Knife and Tool small praetorian after a training exercise with some military guys. Impressive lump of steel and titanium but as a knife it's pretty disappointing. I'm glad I didn't spend $600 on it, that's for sure. Hard to really get it sharp (I've had sharper axes) and it won't keep what little edge you can get. Cool window breaker on the end though. Example, though my scales are raw Ti... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637416298.jpg |
No Gerber luv? I just picked up this:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1637417580.jpg Easy one handed opening and nice edge. |
This benchmade is my everyday carry and current fave:

I have one of the Benchmarks in blue like the one above. Nice utility knife.
Old girlfriend asked me 4-5 years ago if I liked knives. She said that she had bought a nice one for her hubby then found out he was sleeping with someone else and she said she felt giving it to me instead of stabbing him with it was a better option. Its a William Henry and after she mailed it to me started looking into their products. This is one of the cheaper ones at only $1050!! Then I knew why I did not have one earlier! Beautiful knife though... smooth as silk and really holds an edge.https://www.williamhenry.com/spearpoint-poplar.html Have since then picked up another one but used as I simply will not pay that kind of $$ for a knife. You guys might want to visit Arizona Custom Knives as they sell all sorts of knives, new and used and usually at a very good discount! https://www.arizonacustomknives.com/ |
Oops forgot a photo of the knife!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1638720715.jpg

New present to myself; Damascus steel folding
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1641509769.jpg Yes I have a sickness... Interesting thing; I was just telling my son knives aren't illegal here unless they are concealed which seems backwards to me. |
Sickness? Nah...passion. I'm just glad I have it for knives and not women, or guitars, or well you get it.
|
^^ive got it for knives and guitars. Guitars is a major problem. Knives are way easier to sneak into the house without you know who noticing

years ago..i really really wanted (not need, not even close to a need) a custom fixed blade. it was damn near unobtanium. they come up and people faster and richer than me would monkey roll on it and it would be snapped up.
a few months ago, after basically calling "uncle" and giving it up for years!; some dude on the forum bought one. he said, "just wanted to check it out, i might let it go". a few months later, he emails me and offers it to me. i bought it. super fair price. i got it home and literally saw it, felt it, maybe even waved it around the air some, like a wand. and then i thought to myself, "okay, now what do i do with this?" hahahah. i need a new knife like i need a third eye. i dont. now i have TWO custom knives that i cant get an elk to cooperate with. |
