I'm not joking about this, but I really like the absolute beginners, first timers, that you see at a stand up comedians night at the pub.

Patrice O'Neil.. No longer with us but was a very funny man.

Tater Salad!

Snow Cone!

Cat Juggling!

All of my favs have been listed already. Saw Dice early and loved him but he was like a one trick pony.

Got to see Steve Martin live (probably my high point). Saw John Oliver live in Chicago pre Covid and loved him.

I listen to the comedy channels on Sirius quite a bit. This guy makes me laugh:

Anthony Jeselnik.

Most people probably write off Steve Martin, but he was brilliant. He was part of that era, though, where jokes took time to evolve - they weren't just one-liners. He was (is) a genuinely funny guy. I have his album (vinyl, of course) "Let's Get Small" from 1977. I still quote and laugh about things on that album. "Always...no wait, it was...never keep a litter bag in your car...".

Hilarious.

Right now my favorites are:

Ron White
Bill Burr
JP Sears (awakenwithjp)

Past favorites:

Billy Connolly
Jerry Seinfeld
Robin Williams
Eddie Murphy
George Carlin
Don Rickles

Good list would add

Mel, Norm, Rodney, Chappelle, Richard Pryor

I remember seeing Steven Wright when nobody ever heard of him, hilarious. Sam Kinison was disappointing. Late, too drunk and high to do his thing. Died not too long after that, sad.

I would have a harder time parng the list than adding too it. Steve Martin impresses me with the musical talent and genius comedian

As a guy who grew up in the South, I always found Larry the Cable Guy to either be trying too hard or just plain fake. It's like he's from New York trying to be from the South. Just my opinion.

No doubt! I have both of those early albums... His SNL work during that era was epic as well.

I gave my cat a bath the other day,,,,,,:D

Totally agree, Steve Martin is brilliant. I still love The Jerk, such a great movie.
Completely different direction comedy wise, but Bert Kreisler is funny as h*ll...
