Daniel Craig has been spectacular as Bond. Sean Connery, of course, was the original and, for the time was fairly thuggy smacking people around including women. Because of my age, I grew up with Roger Moore who was a completely different Bond. I understand why folks don't like him as Bond. Some of the movies that he did were excellent though. I know that T Dalton was Bond, but I honestly can't remember anything about his portrayal. I liked George Lazenby, and thought he did a good job. Pierce Brosnan did a good job. IMO, the worst Bond movie was Tomorrow Never Dies, absolutely horrible, through no fault of Brosnans.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service was filmed in Shilthorn, Switzerland. They have an entire James Bond theme there now.
We stayed in Gimmelwald just below it back in the late 90s. It is either a hike up or cable car. Our cable car budget was tapped out the day before going to the Jungfrau across the valley. https://www.jamesbondlifestyle.com/product/piz-gloria-schilthorn-switzerland http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1633640467.jpg |
I’ve enjoyed them all, but I think Craig tops the list.
If they go with a female Bond, I don’t know if I will be able to adjust or not. |
I think Barbara Broccoli ruled that out. I'm sure they'd make money with a female led spinoff, though.
|
Connery had a very gritty upbringing - I think if you were going to bring one of the Bonds to a fight it would be him, he grew up fighting in the streets
|
Absol no to a female Bond.
But absol yes to a sequel to “Atomic Blonde”. Charlize Theron’s character fought like Daniel Craig’s character. |
Lazenby was bad- so bad I watched that thing once then promptly forgot about it.
Oh and ya Tommorow Never Dies **belch** and Goldeneye was stupid too. The best Brosnan Bond film is "The November Man" rjp |
Saw it last week, thought it was good, really enjoyed it but not Daniel Craig's best bond film
Loved Ana, would have liked to have seem more of her :D, she definitely wasn't on screen for long enough |

There is no legitimate way they can have a female Bond, they can have strong female characters, but not as Bond. |

It seems unbelievable that Roger Moore was really supposed to be the original Bond. However, I still love the high speed boat chase and the Bayou Sherriff. George Lazenbee - He did a decent job and the Movie is one of the best Timothy Dalton - Gone with the goofy crap, with the exception of the exploding head. The movies could have been a bit better Daniel Craig - Gritty, nearly realistic portrayal. With the exception of Quantum of Solace, all the movies have been excellent Sean Connery - He set the standard Best |
Daniel and Sean Bonds both come across in the movies and someone that would invite you to go have pizza and a beer with and they would still have no problem killing you and feeling nothing from it.
Pierce was cold but still nice. Roger was pushing too close to a caricature to me and too effeminate. Timothy's movies were too cheesy with the special affects. |
Saw it last night. A decent end to Craig's role which I think is one of the best Bonds if not the best. He certainly was in Casino Royal, which was a perfect Bond flick.
Movie was good. Long. A little slow here and there. And disjointed. The story arc was pretty weak with little chemistry or passion, but still entertaining. Worth seeing. Watch Casino Royale first though to see how old everyone got. Banker from Fleabag has a small role. |

Quantum of Solace wasn't bad, but was a shadow of the rest. And it's kind of surprising, honestly. I really like a lot of the actors that were in it, but it just didn't have "it" like most of his other movies. I really liked Skyfall. It was different and surprising. Javier Bardem, holy hell, supremely creepy super villain! Spectre, also very good from what I remember. On a side note, I was VERY impressed with Judi Dench as M. I know she's a fantastic actress, but wow, great as M! I really liked Spectre. |
So much to like about the series. My favorite is Goldfinger. Judi is a great actress and outstanding as M. Ralph Fiennes is just getting warmed up and doing well.
