Ya had to know this was coming? I have been saying it since the two stroke utboard started being phased out. I don't agree with it but I am supprised it took this long. I didn't give the generator any thought but I see where it fits in.

When I had a little yard I had a push reel mower. I loved it unless the grass got over three inches tall.

Shouldn't be a problem.
May I recommend a small flock of sheep, and if that doesn't quite work, some cattle. They do their own recycling of grass too. So you're way ahead of the game right from the start. Small shrubs, yes they can be a problem. But wait... I have a solution for that as well. Goats. Yes goats like eating small shrubs and can even strip out small trees if the trees are becoming a little unsightly. I imagine the neighbours might become jealous, but that's covered as well. The goats will find a way through their fence one evening and will tidy up that vegetation that's be plaguing the neighbourhood for years. |

I made the switch to EGO yard tools last year and can't believe I didn't do it sooner.
Don't know the solution for commercial but for residential, it's not even a question, battery powered is better is every possible way. No more storing gas, dealing with carbs, spark plugs, loud smelly equipment. I have a large battery for the mower that provides enough juice to mow, edge and blow, plus I have a second smaller battery just in case I need it, which hasn't happened so far. |

Most of the lawns here are mowed by professionals .... probably 75% at least. I have never seen a pro crew out on a Sunday .... ever.

Get off my lawn!
|
So all the professional law care folks will just have a special truck to haul around all the huge pile of batteries to replace the many gallons of gasoline they use now?
I see a lot of folks driving across the state line to buy a lawn mower. Electric has a place for small yards, but it will never work on the larger lawns or for professionals making a living mowing and landscaping yards. Whatever, not my problem.

I just washed my 911. The City of Santa Barbara had just banned leaf blowers. I worked in the County for the Air Pollution Control District. They dusted the lot and covered my car with black dust.
I *****ed to my boss....he said tuff ****ski.....douche bag mofo.

Agree! And to make the noise issue even worse, many mow & blow outfits will just run these things into the ground with mufflers that are totally shot. They can be heard blocks away.
I did see a gardener using a gas-powered Stihl blower recently that was very quiet...looked like it even had some sort of muffler on the output tube.

They tell us what kind of light bulbs to use. Is that close enough. These sound like a lot of my neighbors. They btich and moan about gardeners that take care of our places yet she has the balls to ask me if I knew anyone to keep their grounds clean but she wants cheap and request they sweep instead of blowing leaves. If they do, use only elect and no gas. 80 bucks a month was too much for her. These fking people don't think.
