I attended UO in the 1980's. One of Ken's kids was a friend. Been to the house. Been on the real bus. He served me oven-friend chicken.
The rest of the stories don't get told on the web. I hadn't read his works at the time I met him. But Sometimes a Great Notion is my favorite novel of all time. Thanks for the post. Never heard of or seen the California house. |

Wish I would have kept all the posters from all the winter land and Fillmore shows I attended. Every Friday night. The Dead and Jefferson Airplane were usually on the same night. I now have hearing aids!
