My dad hated the term elderly. Especially when he was in his 80s.

My motto has long been: You are never too old to have a happy childhood. Live by that, and keep playing with toys, and having fun.

I'm only 51, but I identify as old basstadddd, as I was run over by a car several years ago, had a hip replacement, only to have the depuy hip recalled, and nothing but pain and bone loss since. Not enough bone left for a predictable result. Last week, I was unable to walk without a cane. The leg would just give out and I'd fall over.

This week, I've had two good days, and been able to walk across a room without assistance. Knock on wood (courtesy viagra!).

My life is an apollo13 movie. We've got to fly around the moon and land this thing with a toaster's worth of power. That's all I want to talk about my hip. Now get off my lawn!

This is me now- (I love this guy!)

C'mon - It's not that many of us are getting old, it is that we have a lot in common with our 911's.

So we might need a few replacement parts, perhaps occasionally need to go "into the shop" for repairs, maybe some of the fluids aren't circulating as well as they should, and maybe even have a rust spot or two.... we're "classics".

We don't look old, that's valuable "patina".

LOL, bunch of young punks! Turned 75 last August. Still pretty mobile. Just got my Moderna booster today at the VA. Nurse couldn’t believe my age, she thought I was about 62! Last week I was climbing 22’ extension ladder to clean the gutters on the barn. My wife is
70, she looks about 45. No kids, two dogs, house is paid for, a few bucks in the bank, both of us in good health. Porsche Cayman in the barn, asleep for the winter. Life’s pretty good. Gotta keep on keepin’ on though, cause if you stop, you’re a gonner.

Great post! I don't think of posters' ages here unless somebody brings it up. Several people on here have been members for around 20 years and can't expect to be young forever. There have been several who have unfortunately fallen by the wayside, but seems like lots of others keeping on keeping on. Good for them!

I joined when I bought my SC for my 40th bday. I’ll be 58 next week and the SC is long gone. I didn’t have any aches and pains at 40. Now my knee hurts when it’s cold.

Well, you'd best just kiko, because those dog's ears need scratchin' and the Porsche isn't going to drive itself!
Well done, sir! Here's to 20 more to you and your missus!

I joined when I got my SC, at 31 years old. That was just 20 years ago!
I still have the car, and I think we are both in decent shape. I got a few more pounds, she got a few more horses. But not that much, maybe 10 each.

My first modem was 2400bps not 300 baud. My first computer was a 286 when I was 16, not a Z80 or 8088… so I guess I’m a bit younger.

I'm old enough to know the first IBM PC had a clock speed of 4.77 mhz and floppy disks were 360K.

CGA 4 color graphics was mind blowing .

78 next month, but it’s all good. I haven’t been shot at for 50 years.

Deaf on one ear. Brutal tinnitus. Dizzy spells. High bloodpressure and blood lipids. Bad back and knees. Ugly teeth and medium obese but still a decent boner. I am happy.
