2021 Ford Bronco - Complete Look At The New Bronco

It appears Ford completely nailed it. They got pretty much everything right for an off-road ready truck.
You can spec it anywhere from mild mall-crawler to overkill 35" tire diff locked armored ready to tackle the Poison Spider trail beast. With a manual transmission!
I'd consider getting one of these for my next truck.

It is going to be a huge hit.

Lots of discussion on the independent front suspension:

Saw this yesterday while walking around Telluride. Seems to fit this sleepy little town. I’m sure there will be plenty of the new ones around here soon....

Looks cool - Ford does some good automotive design. The colors are great too.

Way too big for my taste (I don’t like big vehicles personally) but I bet they’ll sell very well, particularly in the rural areas.

Best of all it might drive the prices on 2-door Wranglers down.

I love it.

But I’m committed to needing a pickup truck bed.

That looks fantastic.

Plus, it has Method wheels, same brand as the ones on my Subi.

And here's my dilemma ...I could shell out $30-40k restoring my LR 109, with a top speed of 55mph, and no a/c...or get a used Bronco in a few years when I retire.

The LR needs a new frame, suspension, engine, all 4 corner hubs redone, brakes, complete electrical wiring ( Lucas, the Lord of Darkness would need to exorcised, too ), seats, etc. You know how that'll go "once I'm in there"...cha ching!

I truly love the LR, but now that I'm digging into it and running numbers...

LR are the deal if your driving is local and the weather supports the no a/c issue. The cool factor is a comet that arcs through the sky everyday. There is value in that, real value.

I just spent an hour on IH8MUD looking at diesel conversions for 96 Series 80 LC's....like you, I am just starting to run the numbers. My LC just passed 130K in total miles so I have years to noodle this through but I want to make sure I understand the investment.

Different car, same math.

It is hot like really hot out so I am working on business and pleasure in a/c comfort

If the Bronco proves as reliable as the Jeep (not going to be hard) Ford will do very well. They really crushed the logistics part...the doors off thing, and I have flown the H-2 Sea Sprite with the doors stowed, is just the ticket. That and the doors are with you, removable roof as well.

That is just so bueno if they did it right.

I looked at their stock prices the last few weeks without satisfaction.

Interesting times.

Boy howdy, it was 100°F at 0915 this morning. I can hop in the Subaru, crank on the a/c and roll in comfort to the north if I choose.

Last Feb I went to LR show. Met a guy with a 1966 LR 88 done right with overdrive. He makes 65-70 mph easily. Was selling for $30k, or best offer. Also checked out another 1973 that was $23k.

I’ve spent way too too much time at https://www.northamericaoverland.com/

That site keeps my fire stoked on refreshing mine. Time will tell.

I like it. I found it pretty funny that this showed up on Reddit the same day...

That, plus, if I remember, the truck has family ties...hard to beat.

My 1994 Defender 90 was cool but not your LR cool. The new Bronco won’t be either but it looks like Ford spent some time on the details.

I like the "Sasquatch" package, and the marine grade interior option.

Based on still photos and video Ford has a winner.

We shall see what the next four years brings.

Ford could tap into an even larger pool of customers with extra Bronco-branded models, including a pickup-bodied Bronco that AutoForecast Solutions says will arrive in 2024.

Me too, I’d go with the basic hose out interior along with the full off-road package. Perfect. Depending on where I’m at in a few years, I might end up in one. I really like the overall package.

I'm picking a JK 2 door this week, in a few years when I can grab a nice used 2 door Bronco I'm all over it. Ford hit a home run with this one!!
