That was a good race congrats to the winner . So happy for Mick to get his first points . Good day for Haas overall . Very glad that nasty accident caused no injuries.

GH85Carrera 07-03-2022 08:40 AM

Great racing for the last 10 laps. Nice to see HAAS in the points.

Wow lady luck was smiling on Carlos this weekend..
Not the fastest qualifier but did his lap at the perfect time for pole before the rain.
Missed the start, but he got a do-over due tot he accident.
Slower than Leclerc with a damaged wing but Ferrari's wonky strategy kept him there long enough to stay in the game
Behind Leclerc but Ocon's safety car puts him right back in contention...
And lastly the crazy 4 ways battle that slowed down his pursuers enough for him to win... I really like Carlos and I'm super happy for him, but he stole Hamilton's luck on this week end !

(and good for Mick)

I would not let Ferrari's strategists pick last week's lottery results!

Exciting race for sure. Congrats to the winner. Most happy for Haas.

With apologies to those who support Red Bull, MV is an ass on the track. He is always pushing cars outside of him on turns off the track. And his move on Mick before the start finish confirms what a punk he is. Mick took a tighter line off the last turn and had a run on Max. When Mick was alongside, Max moved into Mick forcing Mick to back off. I’m sorry but that is chickensh#t racing.

the red flag came out way too quickly after the crash.
Normally a crash in turn one would result in a yellow and then
a red after review.
All the cars had passed and were a lap away from the scene.
But this red flag came out nearly simultaneously with the crash.
At the time I didn't know the real cause of the red flag, stupidity.

Quote:

Northamptonshire Police have confirmed that seven people have been arrested in a move that they believe “put the lives of the drivers, marshals and volunteers at risk” at the start of the British GP.

Police had already garnered information that suggested climate activists may protest at the race, and the seven people, now in police custody, breached the fence and tried to run onto the Wellington Straight on the first lap.

The race was red flagged instantly for that and in the wake of a massive crash at the first corner, which saw Zhou Guanyu catapulted over the tyre barrier and into the catch fence upside down – though, thankfully, he was able to walk away relatively unscathed due to the safety devices on his car doing their jobs as intended.

But despite already having put out a statement warning against such behaviour, Northamptonshire Police and marshals had to be on hand to swiftly arrest those involved, before they could get to the track.

One would hope those individuals will be convicted to a lengthy prison term, say five years, to ponder if they want to make such stupid choices in the future.

Amazing stupidity. I hope those idiots are prosecuted as terrorists.

As we were watching, I saw some collision in the mid pack, and no replay at all. I knew right away, it must be a bad crash and of course the race officials saw a car upside-down, skip over the tire barrier, and slam into the catch fence. It could easily be a dead driver with that crash. Red flag right away was the right call.

Very exciting race. Wondering did Ferrari split the strategy or just oops it.

Why wasn’t George allowed to go back to the pits? Just because a someone loaded his car up? Seems quite unfair.

His car would not restart so it could not return under its own power.

Maybe leave a little more room between barricades.

He killed the engine to check on Zhou, I think, and they wouldn't let him make the attempt to restart. Pretty ugly precedent to set on drivers trying to help.

Great race!!!

I like how Charles said Binoto was trying to cheer him up

I agree that Max drives like an ass so it was good to see his car pay the price.

I'm not a Max fan, he does this all the time almost like he's entitled to be a richard head, IMO he needs a slap
