There is a tool for everything.

I have a Skagen watch, which I don't use much, with a dead battery.
I tried every screwdriver and knife to get the back off...no go...scratched the back trying.
Ordered one of these from amazon yesterday for $8...it arrived today. First try...the back came off.

I tried to get the front bezel off an old Iwatch to replace the battery. Even heated it up and never could get it apart. Finally threw it out.

Nope...you push the sharp edge into the gap, and then use the plastic handle to pry up from the watch base.
If you don't use the watch base as a fulcrum...it won't work.
The lid comes off instantly.

Looks like a stubby screwdriver with the tip ground to a chisel point to me!

the distance from the edge to the plastic is critical.
It makes the perfect leverage for the removal.

It even arrives with a plastic cover for the edge...just so you won't hurt yourself.

I'll bet I could have made a stubby screwdriver ground to a a chisel point work! That and a 3lb mini sledge will fix about anything.

I could put a piece of rubber hose over the end of my stubby screwdriver with chisel point ground into it. It'd cost more though!

Skagen's don't deserve that!
I've worn their watches for over 20 years...they are the best.

I wouldn't know. I quit wearing a watch when the old flip phones came out with a screen on the lid that showed the time and date. Haven't looked back.

I just look at my wife or kids and say "what time is it?"

Amazon would be my first place to look.

Just did a quick look. Looks like you can use a 364 battery too. That should be something you can find at Walmart.

Looks like CVS has the Duracell 364. I'd guess Walgreens would have something too if you want one quick.
