Easy Big Guy.

I iron sight the Ranch and keep a scope on the Savage WMR bolt. That, and for my next movie: "Ground Hogs are Easy". In my Ranger, I can drive up the road, see them, then stop and let the Ranger idle. Up they pop.

2 MOA at 100 yards is 2 inches. 2 inches around center mass is a kill shot. 2 inches anywhere else is a really bad day.

Here is the rifle carriage for the Ranger with the Savage .22 WMR. It looks goofy by the orange watch cap keeps the rifle more secure, stops any rubbing and keeps the muzzle clear. Scope cap as well.
No rounds are loaded. Rifle(s) are always in the cradle. ![]()

A related question: Anyone know where I can find a quality barrel strut (preferably in SS) for a brand new Mini-14?
So far, Cheaper Than Dirt and Midway are out of stock. And thank you. |

I had a mini14 target before our idiot prime minister banned these with the AR15s.
![]() The weight on the end of the barrel is adjustable and it is all stainless.

Just a quick question, I am looking for a Ranch in wood/blue, model 05801. They have the composite here locally but for sentimental reasons we are looking to replace the one stolen from my late brother in law that was a model 05801.
On a side note, to relate to the other thread on being prepared, his homeowners will not payout on any of the items that were stolen.

I'd kind of like something like an AR or Mini-14. I like the idea of a wood stock vs plastic. I'm partial to more traditional aesthetics vs tacti-cool.

I live in California, and I would watch Feinstein try to explain basically that if it looks scary, then it's classified as an illegal assault rifle. Right then and there (1980's) I started buying the Mini-14 Ranch Rifle.

Ah well, it was worth a try and I got to chat with a knowledgeable person on there to make sure I wasn't missing something.
