Just bought this today.
Maybe common to many...I had never used one.
The shank is flexible.

^^^ Yep...loosen the plug a turn with a wrench and get the magnetic end near the plug.
Turn it out without getting hot oil running down your hand or having to fish it out of the drain pan.

Fumoto no worko with my Civic SI
There's a removable pan under the oil pan.

I have them on both cars shown below....love them, they work great.

Nope! Not for me. I like getting hot oil all over my hands. I like the challenge of trying to remove the drain plug without getting oil all over my hands. Makes the day more interesting!
