Blackcurrant is actually the original UK spelling and I think we in the U.S. created black currant because it's more "correct" like red raspberry.

There is no way this was accidental.
A bunch of old dudes on a car forum know about the manner of death of a fashion designer. That information could not have possibly escaped anyone with even the most remote tie to the industry. This was a regrettable joke by an immature copywriter gone horribly wrong. The only accident is that it probably wasn't ever intended for publication or release.
