Partner to me makes it sound like they are a love interest, or unmarried spouse. When I refer to my business partner I use business partner to make it clear, we are partners in a business only.

I honestly can't care less about what pronoun someone prefers, it is just a pronoun. I will call them however or whatever they like. I will try to pronounce their name if I can say it. Personally I do not understand at all the mindset of someone that prefers a neutral pronoun. But I don't understand the mindset of people wanting to have facial piercings, and green or purple hair. I don't have to understand it, and I sure don't want to try it myself. If the person can provide the service or product I require, their looks makes no difference.

Why not just use initials instead of pronouns if you are in doubt?

Also if referring to more than one person in a written communication then pronouns can be dangerously ambiguous.

Sure sure... BUT, HR trades in the idea that what they are doing is for fairness. Read: a complaint from a hetro-norm that threatens the same as the freakshow is the only thing that will slow this absurd woke-roll.

here in the south,
we just say "y'all".
