Is there a benefit to bullying?

As individuals we are, of course, born and raised in a technological world, and so we think we can adapt. But our physical and mental selves are really locked in the past. We try to hide this past with fancy clothes and sophisticated language, and we arm ourselves with all varieties of clever technological aids. But our ancient hunter-gatherer selves are still there, deep inside, struggling to make sense of the world.

i mean i was, and then i grew up. became happy.

there is always something bizarre about this personal attack though, because it always comes out later in conversation that even by "alpha male" standards, i am always more extreme than the person who is attacking me. which of course causes them to have to somehow redefine the term mid argument ... its a whole thing, we dont need to get into here. its not actually as much fun as seems like it might be.

suffice to say, therapy is good thing, i suggest any man who feels ancient hunter gather urges to explore them with a therapist. the results will make you a happier person.

I will say that IMO, anyone who genuinely thinks that there is a 'benefit' to bullying is at best; saying 'the end justifies the means' and, at worst; selfish, cruel and without decent human compassion.
